Considering what Takara/Hasbro has done with their MP line I don't think Hot Toys could do any better. In fact, I think they would be potentionally a lot worse. Hot Toys is king of the 12" human-based action figure market but when they diverge from that their record is a bit spotty.

I also don't think Hasbro or Takara would want them to have the license. Just my two cents.

So you would consider Robocop I & III, ED-209 clean and battle damage, Iron Man Mark I, II & III, Endoskeleton clean and battle damage, T-700, T-600's, Predators & Aliens "spotty" figures?

Some of their best pieces are non-human figures.

1/6th Transformer would be 4-5 feet tall wouldn't it?
What could Hot Toys really bring to the table for Transformers other than a better paint job?

Well Optimus is around 25' so it'd need to be a little of 6' to be 1/6. Although I could see them providing a human version Sam, Mikayla, possibly the soldiers maybe even a Bumblebee since the Tumbler was done....that is if it wasn't fake.

While I believe it's a fake, I'm surprised that folks are being so short sighted in terms of what Hot Toys could do. Based on their work with the Mark I, II and III, as well as Robocop and Terminator, I have no doubt they could produce an extremely cool transforming 12" Transformer. Would it be 'sixth scale'? No, but I'm not sure why it would need to be. And they certainly have the engineering prowess to pull it off.

I agree HT has produced things in different scales it could be as easy as busts or even the smaller stuff like they did with Aliens. It could be really well done if they wanted to.

While those you have mentioned are good, i think Hot Toys best line is their Military line..the figures have soo much accessories and detail.

this is the only transformer i want.
