It's 5th Fleet apparently not 501st, but as far as I'm aware they never actually appeared in the movie, just concepts.

Yeah, the 5th Fleet is not only not canon, it never appeared in Legends either. It's never been anything outside of concept art.

The Beehive Trooper everyone wants in 212th colors - I think wasn't even the 212th either. It was the 7th Sky Corps if my memory is correct. The 212th was the overall battalion and the 7th was the airborne portion of it. Point being, this guy can't even be sold as the 7th, because they had the same orange coloring.

Just a weird decision by Hot Toys, but I guess they're saving the orange troopers for 2025 for the ROTS anniversary.

Thats exactly what I said when I first saw Fives and Echo. Could not believe my eyes. Wtf?!!

My thought is, Marvel is kinda dry with new projects lately and we got to pick up the slack somehow. Hence 1000 new troopers, not that I am complaining. And/or someone retired at HT, or HT has new blood in the form of fresh hires. BRING IT NEWBIES

If we are ever gonna see a new Han Solo, now will be the time.

And how many different shades of blue have been used on all these 501st troopers now? I hope HT don't start revising colours on future Coruscant guard clones or the 212th. Good job I don't have OCD (much), I couldn't take it. I'd be breathing into a paper bag right now.

It is what is on the name plate for the trooper, so it is on Hot Toys. "Utapau Clone Trooper."

They also appear to have "Clone Trooper Fives and Echo" instead of ARC Trooper like the product listing as.

I may be in the minority but this 5th fleet concept art version is actually the version of the airbourne I love most. It is something I never expected HT to make ever, so I am glad we are hopefully getting one, but definitely strange to show it off before putting a 212th version up for PO and also strange the name is so freaking wrong, though perhaps the stand and name plate were meant for the 212th version.

Or TPM concept art Maul, McQuarrie concept art Stormtrooper, Snowtrooper, Sandtrooper, Tie Pilot, Vader, Luke, Leia and Chewie???

If concept clones are on the menu a V-Wing pilot would indeed be sweet, I'd get that in Republic colours (I imagine the best way to do it would be as an alternative helmet piece for an ARC-170 pilot, could see that actually releasing)

Personally I'd also love a clone gunner (I'm using the gentle giant accessories for this on my shiny currently but the helmet piece isn't ideal)

A concept Gree / BF2 2005 Jet Trooper would be neat too, always liked that design (Though I'd prefer an actual Clone Wars 501st Jet Trooper instead)

The idea of actually getting concept clones as releases seems crazy though even with this prototype existing. Could see it as a limited release perhaps, would surely be better than more chrome troopers.

Also, while Clone Gunner might not be a big enough draw for a figure release I could easily see the parts being used in an accessory pack so folk could convert reg clones.

Alternatively HT could do a deluxe reg clone with various extras to make it an officer (pauldron, kama, bicep pouch, rangefinder, macrobinocs, holsters) an ARC (alternate pauldron, pouches, helmet, reinforced chest plate, shin covers, 2 piece kama) gunner (helmet cover piece, pauldron pad thing with strap) or pilot (alternate helmet and chest box with tubes). That would be a great army builder.

Yeah, they need to give us the proper version first, then by all means go all out with weird concept figures etc.

To be fair, they are possibly betting that concept art ver is not gonna be as popular as 212th airbourne or Purge Trooper, so they are counting on people being desperate for any sort of airbourne trooper to order (perhaps with intention to repaint even) before then putting up the more popular variants that are guaranteed to sell.

Putting it up after the 212th and Purge risks people going "I already got my favourite versions, those 2 are enough" so fewer units sold, and HT can't afford that as they plan for new parts to be used 3 times to maximise return on investment on their new molds in this era of smaller production runs.
