nice figs username, i like the loki, its really detailed. i never go into the avengers threads but i knew loki would be a complicated looking figure.

The only small gripe i have is that Tom Hiddleston, although being a tall mofo, is extremely slender.
This one is thicker than it should be for full accuracy.
Not a major gripe, but had he been really thin, it would have been a lot better.
I bought the full Avengers lineup, but i also put together a custom lineup of them all in civilian clothing too.

Ahhh.
The main problems with that are twofold.
First, the Loki body has holes in the upper arms to accept his shoulder armour through the costume, and also that the main bulk of the figure comes from his voluminous costume. Without a lot of tailoring knowledge, it would be difficult fitting the costume to a smaller body.
And thanks for your kind words about my display. I would think many of us on here have something similar going on.

awesome setup. wish i had enough room for 6. i have enough for 4 and maybe 1 other detolf in another area. right now i have 3. if you ever need alternate lighting or anything of the like let me know! i dont want to detract from the original thread topic anymore because im always calling others out on it, so..........................resident evil ada wong!?!?!?!

Sure thing.
I have 12 sets of Dioder, 2 per detolf, for a grand total of 48 light bars running from 12 separate plugs, lol.
I'd give me left arm to have more light per shelf and use less wall sockets.
We are thinking of downsizing our house in the spring, and the only thing i am worried about is not having enough room for my Detolfs in the new house, lol.

I really like the look of the Ada figure.
Although i've never played the games, i have watched a couple of the movies.
And i am considering the figure. Just for my "Hot Chix" shelf to go alongside Babydoll, Alice and Amber.

shes really nice, i just wish that resident evil hadnt taken the bomb that it had or id care way more and man up and buy one. i mainly collect mgs but i am venturing into 1/6 with snake plissken and atlas/pbody. (not my main man above, the toy)

My primary focus is custom figures of characters i really like, or variants that no-one makes.
Just under half my figures are customs. And i have stacks of parts and heads for other i just haven't had the time to put together, so it won't be long till over half are customs.

I only own two customs, I'd love to build more but I just don't make that kinda money to do so. It takes something really special for me to commit to one. I only have one other custom in mind for the future.

I see where you're coming from, but a custom needn't be expensive. I have made a fair few for less than $100.
My main starting point is securing a good headsculpt.
Without a great head, well painted, it's useless to put the rest together.
Most of my custom ideas come from a great HT/SS head, then i get the ideas for the rest of the figure later.
I also think a great custom needn't be complicated. It could be as simple as Bruce Wayne in a suit.
Or Clark Kent with his shirt open in a flying stance.
Or Captain america wearing his military uniform.

once you have parts for multiple things you also get money back in sales here or on ebay so some of the cost is recouped in constantly customizing.

also this is the guy who made my raiden and ninja possible. he recouped money from his white raiden extras when i needed my parts. im sure it went toward another custom.

It did indeed. I just put that into new parts(I picked up some Hot Toys Man Of Steel heads with the cash i made that week).
I have a huge stash of parts awaiting projects. And when i am not making figures, because my background is in making garage model kit master patterns, i am making custom bases or weapons, etc.
