Wasn't the original date March? :lol I knew it wasn't going to be that, but it just goes to show HT should realize to not tell retailers these bogus dates.

I think Ada is going to do well. It is her iconic look, it is from the " best " game and it comes with a whole load of stuff. And its affordable to start with.

Actually, just got around to ordering one of these. Shopped around for the last hour or so and long story short the cheapest place for a UK guy to order her from is mothersbasement. Its £139.99 with free postage. The next cheapest is onesixthbruce with £153.50 and after that its importing from China and of course that means the Biohazard Box and Base

I got all the RE5 folks but i don't know whether they are Biohazard or Resident Evil, to me both are the same just different names. And i never bothered taking the stand out. Real figs don't need no stand and should be able to hold on to their own, unless you live in an earthquake prone area, or on a barge, or on an airplane. :exactly:

Or you dont want your $200 figure to fall over and break. Theres too many variables to not use the stands, you could get a gust of wind, bang into your shelves, an ankle joint might decide to slacken and the next thing you know your figure is incredibly devalued for not using a stand! (ive had it happen a few times)

There is no reason to be a ignorant tool with such expensive collectibles. With that attitude, you deserve to have your **** broken.

Most of the guys i buy can stand pretty firm on their own, most of them are in the cabinet so wind is not an issue unless somebody bumps into the glass. But they look better without the stand.

I bought a dozen of those 3rd party medicom like transparent stand, pretty cheap and can be used on figures from 6"-20" for those sissy figures that just won't stand properly.

Some figs like Bliztoy Scarface & Toynami Macross have weak ankles so i need to put some tissue papers in between the shoe & ankle.

Also most stand will stain after long time as the shoes usually made of rubber and will stick the paint off the stand. 100% of the time for sideshow stands.

So if you really have to use the original stand make sure the figure doesn't step on the prints.

I always wiggle them abit when i pose them to make sure they can hold on to their own.

The stand is ugly and takes more space. Unless it's something like Batman 1989 which i don't have lol. Also it's not good for pleather/rubber suits since they will make a mark on them overtime.

The medicom like stand i usually place the holder on their thigh just as a support. Those Mattel Ghostbusters really can't stand on their own just like in the show. A bunch of clowns.

There is ways around that. I took a waist hugger fork and used pliers to give it wiggle room and put that around my 89 Batman. I made the mistake and used the crotch stand on my first 89 Batman and it left divets in it. I don't even use the gripper on my DX12 Batman but I use the base, he's pretty solid on his own footing.

Careful with the HT Snake as well, my friend ruined the suit thanks to the crotch grabber stands.

I have mine on his inner thigh, but I don't think it's not nearly putting enough pressure to cause divots in it. That suit isn't as temperamental as their Batsuits. I do check every now and again and there isn't anything there. My Supermen that I've had do get divots from the stand, but it honestly doesn't both me since it's just fabric and would relax over time.

And don't forget the stand prints while worrying on the suit. Even with 3 coat finish it will still stain after time should the figure stand on it.

Well of all the 2nd hand Star War figs from SS i got, most of them had stained base, most collectors don't know the problem until they found out.

Most people pose their stuff & let it sit in close cabinet dust free even when they move it they move it with the stand so people don't realize the problem until it's too late.

Also it doesn't take long time for it to happen, depends on the shoe material. If the figure is heavy it'd take less than 1 month. They don't put coatings on the base prints.

That takes a very long amount of time for that to happen and who honestly leaves a figure alone for lengthy amount of time?
