The only thing that stops me crying into my weetbix whenever the finance segment comes around is that I have a mortgage. The lower interest rate is saving me more than enough to make up the shortfall in my dolly budget.

The rising prices have dampened my enthusiasm for this hobby. I'm just about done I reckon. Two years ago, with dollar parity and >$200 MSRPs, I was buying about a figure per month and characters like Marty McFly, Ripley and Beetlejuice would've been must-haves. Nowadays, apart from the core Star Wars characters and a couple of Lord of the Rings characters, the only figures/lines that would have me excited enough to drop a quarter-thousand dollars on them would be:

Mad Max
Mohammed Ali
Cheech and Chong
Karate Kid
Don Bradman
John McClane
Omar Little (The Wire)

...the odds of any company touching those means my money is safe I think
