You can INSTANTLY tell when you're dealing with rooted hair. Always.

This is how you do sculpted hair--strands, texture, fine wisps framing the face along the hairline. Hopefully the production piece will turn out just as nice. Most sculpted hair look like big clumps, which is why I get several of my figures of mine rehaired which can look amazing and much more realistic. Hair that is shoulder length or longer should still be rooted for realism, texture and articulation. The biggest problem with production rooted hair is the material is cheap, too thick, and/or poorly styled.

I prefer sculpted ponytail.

I hate when figs have mixed sculpted and rooted for hair, it looks awkward.

The only one that works so for is HT's new Jack due to the dreads.

I wish HT took the intensity of this sculpt and incorporated it into the BVS version since they delayed it so long
