Hey Irish, what dimensions did you come up with for the idol pedestal? I wondering about height and diameter. The reason I' asking is I had an idea for the stones. I'm planning on cutting circles out of 3/4 inch thick mdh board then cut the circles into 6-8 pie shapes and roughing up the edges like I did on my backdrop display. The biggest circle cutter I have is 2 1/8 inch in diameter. If it's the right size this should give a pretty nice look. I'll post pictures once I get started.

Your pie shape idea sounds like a lot of work. I think you could achieve it more effectively by scoring with a craft knife or carving blade instead.
