I like that people make them, and it does aid in deciding whether I buy or not. I like seeing how the pieces are fit together (permanent base?, arms, accessories, head sculpt permanent?) Some videos do spend too much time on the box though. I don't want 3 minutes about what is written on every side. I like the unpacking and then a short review. Whether it lived up to expectations or not. What you like and dislike about it.

This! :lecture:

couldn't of said it better

Almost every unboxing video could stand to be about 10 minutes shorter, but it's nice to get a heads up in case the unboxing process can be troublesome. Regardless, I always skip through them.

I dislike it for a few reasons.

I don't enjoying watching grown men unwrap presents they bought for themselves.

Really though, it is detrimental because the best part of getting a statue, someone may have been waiting over a year for, is fitting the final piece in place and sitting back and laying his/her eyes on it for the first in real life. It's a beautiful and perverse experience as they blow a load in their head.

Having watched it already, takes away some of the newness and excitement.

But, maybe it's like watching porn.

Interesting responses. I don't "like" them , but they have uses. Great for your own packing/unpacking to see how it came new in case you forgot or it is complicated to remove the 1st time. Not often they are needed, but nice to have when you do.

I like that they are there as a point of reference and someone has shared their excitement and taken the time to give a bit of a review. Some go OTT and think they are knowledgeable critics, but at the end of the day we all are :wink1:

They are generally over lit and the choice of music often kills the erotic tension for me.

I love a good ol fashioned get to the point unboxing, I dislike crappy music and some dude that likes to hear himself talk

I dislike unboxing and review videos. Most are way too long, poorly shot and very boring. There are the occasional few that are well done, but they are the exception, not the rule. I much prefer a good, well written photo review.
