I use an Excel spread sheet. Description, SN#, current value. This is mainly for insurance purposes and I updated it everytime I get a new item.

I also keep a list of pre-orders to give myself an idea of what's on order and how much is coming in a month's span.

Yeah, I also use an excel spread sheet to keep track of what I have coming.

Those of you that use excel would you mind sharing the format of your spreadsheet? Always curious to see what others use.

Mine goes:
Figure Line; Company; Subcategory; Figure, Condition; Missing Accessory; Value; Notes

For example with a Vintage Chewbacca:
Star Wars; Kenner; A New Hope; Chewbacca; NM; none; $15; Green Bowcaster Version

So far this has taken care of my tracking needs.

I used to have something similar to that with all of my figures (Probably 650 - 700 figures or so) as well as my vinyl/cd collection (Approximately 2500 CDs and Records) When I transfered files from my old PC to my iMac last summer I have not been able to find either of these files. I know i have them on a CD somewhere but I have yet to be successful in finding it.
