How fragile is the PERS?

I probably should have asked this before preordering Jack Sparrow and Indiana Jones, but is the PERS fragile? I keep reading about broken PERS in the first DX, the joker. Has it been improved in terms of durability?

From what I've read - Yes it has been improved. The only PERS figure I own is the DX04 and I have had no problems.

I own every single DX figure to date, (big whoop, there's only 4) and have on pre-order the jack sparrow and indy, and I must say I have not had any problems with any figure. But again, I don't re-pose the figures, in this case the eyes every week. I still try to be gentle when moving them, But yes there is a little difference between the DX1 and the DX4, bruce lee's eyes, as yankee planet said, "feel" more durable

it's a unique and complicated mechanism, innovative BUT...they effin used cheap plastic for such design.

i intentionally destroyed this PERS to achieve wacky, crazy poses. in the end, nothing beats the basic set up for movable eyes. can sleep better knowing a busted PERS can do more.

I must say that there looks very appealing, but I wouldn't want to do that to poor joker

have a good set of PERS for ideal, and serious shots...
the busted PERS for wacky and horror(eyeless) shots...

but, that's just me.

People initally made the mistake of thinking it was built well. Once they realized it was super fragile like anything else from HT(or EB) then people stopped breaking them

most people stopped fiddling/limit their play time with the PERS once reports came in with faults and breakage i think.

ironically, i was initially asking and looking for a busted PERS. i got nothing, people seem to have use for them i dont know. i did however got a sweet deal on a PERS head, which i ended up intentionally breaking.

How good is Hot Toys customer service? Any warranty? I'm just wondering if they'll replace it if the PERS breaks.

dont be sad. the busted PERS is more versatile and fun. lots of freedom posing those eyes. :]

Pretty fragile but easy to fix.
Normal practice for the mass production items
