In what order are these going out, is it all deluxe first? I have a deluxe and budget on order, just wondering about a rough timescale.

Hi Joost just wanted to let you know that I recieved my Diorama today and I already assembled it. Everything went great, its very easy when you dont install in a Detolf. I only have a little gap about 1 mm in one corner that I coudnt eliminate but I'll put some black tape on the exterior so the light doesnt escape. Tomorrow I''ll share some photos once I get the correct adapter to light it on. Very happy Joost you and your father made my month. Take care.

I have one more question to the guys of the group. I had to pay about $45 dlls for customs, I recieved my detolf in Mexico. My question is if my fellow collectors of the US also pay these customs? Because I have an address in the US and I can recieve there in the case you guys dont pay customs. Thanks and I appreciate if somebody lets me know take care and Joost, again, Im extremely happy with the diorama.

Hey Fitillo,

Cant wait to see your pictures tomorrow. Mines is currently on standby as well waiting for the adapter to arrive. I did the same thing, added some black electrical tape around the corners. As far as customs goes I didn't have to pay any custom fees. I live in Texas, hope that helps.

I agree Jazz and his Father did an amazing job. :hi5: This will be a stand-out piece in my collection.

I suggest everyone tape the foam sheet to the bottom and sides while your assembling so you don't destroy and scratch the great paint job. Don't do what I did. I pretty much after 5 hrs gave up trying to fit the sides in. Literally hands are bleeding. the industrial two sided tape doesn't hold the top well it kept dropping. I don't know if I got a bad cut or not. I am pretty depressed this didn't work out.

I as well wasn't able to get the sides to lock in. The tape on the corner edges caught the sides as i tried to slide them back and just ripped off that bottom corner and the sides fell down the side of the detolf. I was afraid I was going to break the glass! Got it set up without the sides right now. Definitely gorgeously made, was very tight in my shelf and couldn't keep the glass shelf in.

Hey Wpbats, you have any pictures of your diorama.

I had the same issue trying to fit the diorama in the detolf from the front, so I decided to try something different. For those on you that are using the top shelf on your detolf, remove the top of the detolf, assemble the diorama outside the detolf, then once you are done assembling it slide it in from the top. I did have to remove the top glass shelf as well like others have mentioned. Once your done setting everything up and have ran your wires, just put the top of the detolf back on and screw it back down. Its still a tight fit and you have to move the H brackets on the detolf here and there but this method was a little easier for me........Just an idea hope this helps.......

I did for the larger hallway setup.

Whoever is in the first batch of 50 deluxe and 25 budget diorama's will get theirs shipped today at the latest (most is already shipped). All orders after that will have to wait until march, but I've indicated that where applicable

I appreciate the info the address I have is in Texas so next time I''ll have it delivered over there. Congrats your display is great and once it lights up Im sure it is going to look even better. Take care and hopefully will see puctures of your display lit up. Thanks again.

Thanks for this idea! Did the same now. Really makes it much easier to assemble, and mask any corners with tape.
I do have a problem now though: the top won't fit on the Detolf anymore! The whole thing is a few mm too wide - the glass sides don't fit into the ridges of the wooden top 'lid' anymore.

I'll probably simply make the ridges on the top a bit wider with a file (it's wood after all) so the sides fit in. Let me know if anybody has any other suggestions though. :)

Looks Great! I wanted to put in on the top as well. Where you able to to screw the top back with no problems?

Received mine and put it together over the past couple of days. EXCELLENT work, Jazz. Looks amazing as is, but when you light up the deluxe version -- WOW! I was going to have it be a stand alone piece holding a few figures, but I decided to place it inside a detolf. It was snug to say the least. I ended up removing the glass detolf shelf and it fits perfectly. SO perfectly, I didn't even use the side rails in the kit. Looking forward to the next piece!

Hey Lex, I haven't had a chance to screw the top back down yet. Unfortunately my kit arrived with some missing pieces so just waiting on those to arrive. I dont think it should be a problem. The only problem I had was just trying to get the H bracket back thru the holes on the top, but it just took some patience. Ill post more pics of my progress once I have all the pieces in hand.

Thanks

Looks amazing Sulla9. Glad to hear you didnt have any problems

What did you mean by, you didnt have to use the side rails? You mean the metal profiles/brackets that holds everything together?
