The PF is heavy, very solid and intricate as all Hell. I still say it's SSC best Marvel piece by far. I bought mine for just under $1000 a while back (The Ex) and I remember people saying I was nuts. It's more than double that now. All of the early Marvel pieces are fantastic. Hulk is so heavy and alive that both the Gray and Green are amazing to look at and while the SSC Marvel pieces are still good they'll never be as golden as they were back then.

Have to say I totally disagree with ya on that one. Not every piece but there have been many pieces that I would say are as nice as the early pieces.

Nah Josh, I'm not talking about design. There are some released now that are fantastic and just as good as the originals but they'll never be solid pieces of poly or given the same amount of detail. The number of PF paint issues now really didn't happen back then. As the business expands, so do issues and while some pieces are nice, when I lift up my PFs now, they are hollow and easy to move. When I move The Hulk, I feel like I might pull a muscle and there is something really special about that, that will not be repeated again. It feels museum like not just the look but the overall feel.

Agreed Doom just has this amazing presence, truly a masterpiece. Another piece that doesn't get much credit is the Red Skull PF, Its probably the finest tailored sideshow piece out there.

The hulk PF is a beast. There will never be a solid statue ever again especially now that SSC is using fiberglass molding to make some of there statues.

Can't say I agree to be honest. Being solid doesn't mean much to me as far as that being a sure fire sign something is quality. If these pieces were eggshell thin then I think that would have more merit to quality. Detail wise I think there are several pieces that have come out recently or coming out that are quite detailed. I agree there have been hiccups over the last couple of years. I guess what I'm saying the pieces I've seen or have look as good as things I've seen since SS got the Marvel license.

I totally agree with that! Imo the pose and the whole figure is so smashin' powerful!
I really like the Doom PF, but I guess I will never ever get one

But there are so many great collectibles and the Doom is imho totally overpriced now...

Nah the Hulk PF and Doom being a solid statue screams quality. At least they won't break like the IM 1:2 which was eggshell thin. Having some heft is a sure sign that they took the time to make a solid statue and not hollow it out. Both the Hulk and Doom PF also are great sculpts with awesome detail and a great addition to any Marvel fan's collection.

I feel the same way and even you are not a marvel collector i think everyone here would like to have a Doom P.F. or a Green Hulk to their collection .

Yeah, I think all you've done was right and you should be proud of this great PF!
But there is another problem for me: in Germany (or Europe) it is much harder to get one than in the U.S Area....
