The two are different. The glue that holds the hair is not the same as the polyurethane that coats the pleather or the flexible glue that holds the pleather to the fabric. It's my own Ass opinon that people who have pleather flaking issues will also have rooted hair issues.
I am not sure about either companies hair procedures , but I though "rooted" means punches into the rubber not glued.

Rooted means glued apparently, and implanted means, well implanted I guess.
most customs are glued. barbies are rooted. It's my own Ass opinon that people who have pleather flaking issues will also have rooted hair issues.

So why are they referred to by the companies like Inart in their descriptions as rooted? No, rooted refers to a process where it's sewn into a soft vinyl head, like fashion dolls. Implanted should refer to "punching" hair into silicon heads, like in 1/1 scale busts. Gluing is something else entirely and doesn't have a technical/marketing term yet. Probably because the customizers that have been doing it for years having been incorrectly calling their process "rooting hair"

In the past I have said to people that its not rooted they said I was wrong, It's nice to know I was correct.Because it's an English word used by companies whose primary language is not English. It's not a term they can easily enter into a translation program.
Also, see my previous explanation about customizers using the word incorrectly for years.
It's sort of the inverse of how people say "third party" now, because manufacturers/retailers didn't want to use the words "bootleg" or "knock-off" which were were already in use, and more appropriately describe what the product is.

Glued hair does not have same ring to it than rooted hair does it lol, kinda sounds a little cheap rather than premium imo.
what i learnt buying from asia vendors when you say oem it actually means 3rd party if you want oem you have to say original lol.Because it's an English word used by companies whose primary language is not English. It's not a term they can easily enter into a translation program.
