Well even though the T700 is the same figure in a different color, it lacks any extras with it. Just comes with a stand. So I dont really want to spend what people are asking for it.

If I found it cheap then I would maybe repaint it chrome and try and get a gun.

I dunno why but I never liked the T-700 but still love the 800 endos. Sold it a long time ago and never looked back. Maybe because we never saw it in action or do anything cool besides just hanging around in the movie. Maybe if it was a 700 chasing after Connor instead of the 800 due to last minute script changes we may have enjoyed the figure more.

I think that the t-700 is really the t-800 of the salvation film and hot toys messed up the name with it being released before the movie came out. The look of the t-700 matches the movie version of the t-800 in the film and the fact that they made the t-700 in production line thing matches the factory scene of the t-800s being made in the film. So the t-700 really is the salvation t-800. Hope that made sense:)

The T700 is just a "older" version of the T800 scene in the first 2 movies.
Its a more polished and finished product while the T700 is meant to be the first version of the full endoskeleton like T800.

I'm not to sure about that, in the first two films the older model terminators were refered to as the t-600's. Also the name t-700 is never even meantioned in any film including salvation:dunno

While I agree that there never ended up being a T-700 - the T-600 was never shown until T4 and even then it didn't exactly match the description Kyle Reese gave of it in the first film. "the 600 series had rubber skin, we spotted them easy'' If T4's 600s are anything to go by why wouldn't Kyle's quote go like this "the 600 series wore rubber face masks and were 7 foot tall, we spotted them easy"?!! T4 took a bit of liberty there about the 600s. However either way, Arnies Terminators have always been T-800s, and a T-850 in T3.

Well yes for the most part you are correct, but the t-600 was seen in t1 in a flashback scene and yes it does not match up with the salvation version of the t-600. But all I'm trying to say is that the hot toys t-700 is the salvation t-800 in all but name.

As far as I thought, the Terminator seen in the flashback was just another model number of the T-800. (Arnie's model being the 101)

I agree I dont think that was a T600 in the flashback.

I dont see why Hot Toys decided to call it T700 if all it is is a diff colour and rough/worn texture. They could have just called it T800 Salvation Edition or something like that! :lol

Would you guys say $190 is worth it for brand new T700? Considering T800 is $400+ even though its better colour and comes with weapons?

You maybe right about the flashback scene as i'm not sure myself. I think hot toys called it the t-700 because they started making it before the film was released and there must have been some confusion during that process. I don't know that for sure but what else in the film could have the t-700 been modeled after except the t-800, as there was no t-700 in the film?

I just rewatched TS a few min ago and yes as I thought there is no T700 mentioned. So might just been a mix up or HT wanted their own model! :lol

The models you see in the movie were T-700s. In the special effects book I believe someone mentioned that it was designated as the 700. But due to last minute script changes, the story skipped the whole 700 and just named it the 800. While the CGI 800 looks nothing like the live models 700s hanging and being built. Salvation was just a very faulty film with a lot of plot holes which McG himself can't even explain. There just too many ideas thrown around that it just got all blendered in there into this huge mess.

190$ is not a bad price for the t-700 and is worth it I think, however the t-800 is the better one to have but at 400$ I don't think its worth that much and is why I don't have one ether:( I'm glad I got the t-700 and really want hot toys to re-make a new t-800 endo with up-dated chrome job and swap out magnetic battle damaged chest piece with a skull display stand. If they made it out of metal I would just faint.

Oh and don't forget that Sideshow has a T-700 endoskull bust based on production designs from the movie. So I believe that the 700 does exist but was taken out of the script at the last minute.

While thats true, I still thought it was a fun action/effects flick with terminators. It was better then T3 at least. :lol

What effects book are you talking about? Stan Winstons?

For a high end 12" endo I think its a ok price. Not great by any means as it lacks accessories.

I don't remember what book. This subject was all discussed a very long time ago. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful. I'm sure if you google it you'll find something.

Well, I won't take any sides and I do believe T3 to be an imperfect and almost comedic film, they did have the real Arnold, and they gave us the Loken/T-X which I find to be an amazing design. I'm still
Hoping for HT to make a 1:6 TX endoskeleton. You know that would be sick.
