It is, but I'm really not that worried about it. It doesn't bother me, since it's an improvement on the DX shirt which has a collar that just defies the ____ out of gravity.

Seriously. Does anyone have any tips for better futzed collars? :huh
Devil always seems to nail his down well....he needs to do "Devil666's Guide to proper Futzing." :lol

You need to ensure the tie is tight around the neck so it falls in the crease of the collar. Thus enabling the collar to fold over at maximum length. Then you have to adjust the waistcoat to it pins down the ends.

Thanks bud. I was referring to collars in general, not necessarily just on the DX. In situations where there is no waistcoat to assist, say Harvey for instance, I've always wondered if there were any tricks to get them to stay neat and down. I've resisted glues or sewing because of the chance of permanent damage....and I suppose starch wouldn't help either...:rotfl

Guys, if anyone is interested, I just put my Adam's Joker Head on my sale thread. Sorry Adam, as much as I really love this piece of Art, I'm in needs of the funds. Hopefully faith will bring me back to this sculpt later on.

Ok, im going to go out on a limb and say something controversial, Great photo, but personally I'm not a fan of these sculpts, I know you guys love them and that's cool. Each to their own, it would be a boring place if everyone was the same. Great work here but they feel a bit action figure like to me. A bit plastic looking. I think it's the nose sculpt, feels too blobby. Looks and feels (to me) like someone has sculpted over a HT head.
Just my opinion! I do love the mouth paint job though. And the laughing head with teeth is a real original.

Don't shoot me!

Nothing wrong with a point of view, however I'd really love to see somebody shoot these sculpts with some good macro lens just to see them up close.

You just don't see the detail that far away just as you have described, I've never seen one posted up really close for a sharp photo.

Besides BobbyC, are there better ones out there? I dont know about you, but most ppl cant afford to buy a 1/3rd statue of Heath. Im happy with what I got for a 1/6 sculpt. I love Bobby's too, but his is a lot more than this one, so I dont see how it could be much better for the price I paid for mine..............is their one that you like better?

As soon as I get my tax return, I'm going to get a Canon 550D EOS, so I'll get some proper snaps to show these up close :) They're pretty damn good for the most part, although some bits could be considered crude.
Btw, to futz the clothes you need water! Take the shirt off and wet your fingers while you dab the collar down and pinch it. Wait till it dries in your fingers (it won't take long) and it'll take that shape naturally. When you put it back on the figure, it will always want to take that pressed down shape.

Agreed, I would love to see some proper close up shots.
From what I can see in these pics, the mouth looks great as I mentioned above. I'm not a great fan of the plastic/hair combo. It looks cool in some shots but in some it is neither one or the other. I don't hate plastic hair (it is what it is), but I love the look of real hair when its done properly.

I know thats a lot of work!

Probably not for a similar price, you are completely right about that. Personally I pretty much think Bobby C's 1/6th Joker is the best we will see. I know its a lot more expensive. Hey man, I am by no means pissing on these sculpts. There is room for different levels and and different costs for all this stuff. It does not make one more custom more relevant than another.

I'm actually just talking about the actual face sculpt. I don't feel it's all that accurate. Is it really all that better than the HT version? which is by far the cheapest I guess? But as I said, just my opinion, these things are worth what enjoyment you take from them.
:)
