Yeah definately but from the front the pic Adam sent me actually looked ok so the second payment was made however in hand looking round the head in a 360 degree motion the hair is shocking!!!

Yeah damn you paypal and damn you Adam! I blame Adam more! His actions of late are indefensible! I will no longer defend this guy, the way he is conducting business is shocking!!!

Paypal at least has a (somewhat) decent excuse, given that they're an actual corporation that has to deal with, I'm sure, thousands of these issues a day.

Adam not even answering his e-mail while charging what he does for these is just unbelievable. I don't care how busy you are, stop for 5 minutes and check your damn e-mail.

After what he has done to me and the way he is treating others i will always make my presence known from now on within his threads to warn people of the dangers

Like you say set 30 mins aside every day or so to keep people upto date etc, not alot to ask when we are talking lots of money changing hands for these pieces

I guess I can be somewhat sympathetic about how something you love doing can turn into work when you start getting paid for it, because in the past (we're talking 5 or so years ago), I took on some commissions that I had really enjoyed doing for myself and it was torture to actually sit down and do it for someone else because it felt like a job.

That's why I don't do any customs or commissions except for very special and rare cases now for anyone but myself. Not saying I'd never get anything done, but once it becomes work, all the joy goes out of it. I'd rather not make any money whatsoever than run the risk of screwing someone over because of my procrastination problem. Some people don't think about that, though, and it leads to problems.

It's nice to see there's still some decent people out there that respect collectors and it's not just money money money going across their eyes.

Imaresqd must have marked it down as the full amount for the tax to be that high.

Yeah i really dont mind sharing the price now after everything thats gone on! I would never have shared this info had he showed me the respect i deserved so i guess i am just recipricating it now!

I dont blame Adam for marking the full value of the head on the box thats not his fault at all. Hell you know what if the head was how it should have been i would have not even given the tax charge a second thought but as the hair is truely disgraceful it made the customs fee all the worse!

I wont forgive Adam for this shocking half assed job and i wont forgive him for zip communication with me after i received this! I sincerely hope he gets a tatse of what i had on Tuesday morning when i opened up my cardboard envelope! Not even a damn box!!!

Hah, no, nothing like that. I don't think Adam's a bad guy or anything, far from it. I'm just of the opinion, based on personal experience, that he took on too big of a workload and now his reputation might suffer because of it. I'm a little upset over it because I really, really wanted to commission one of these and actually tried to, but he disappeared and never got back with me. Now he probably never will because of this. It sucks, but unlike Manji, I'm not out any money over it. I'd rather not get one at all than get one that is sub-par.

I basically offered to perfect a rooted hair technique and fix up Manji's head if he needed it done and his other avenues didn't pan out. I've got a spare Howes Joker head around that would be great for experimentation on, and wouldn't mind at all. The best part about places like this is the community aspect and people stepping up to help others if they need it. I'm not personally big on doing commissions, because bringing money into it turns it from a hobby into work, but if I can help somebody out, I'll do it in a heartbeat.
