Hello all just curious to know how many people out there on the forums are Windows users, if you got one what is it Toshiba. Dell Gateway etc? and how often do you feel the need to update it?

I will start off with mine a desktop that I put together in 08 with dual 24" monitors, a Gateway laptop and a Toshiba laptop and a dell laptop for the garage

Toshiba Satellite laptop. Harman/kardon speakers and intel core i7 processor - LOVE IT! :rock

Me! HP Laptop, Love it! really loving HP so far, I had to use Macs for college and it was a nightmare, Im not saying they are not good, they are really good, I just didn't like them at all, it would be really hard for me to change

I have a HP desktop computer that was customized in 08 as well. I had some hardware issues with the desktop and decided to fix it instead of buying a new unit. Also, it is hooked up to my 40 inch LCD Television in the livingroom. I have a HP laptop with 17 inch screen that I just purchase recently.

I forgot to answer your last question. I don't do a lot on my computer but online stuff, email, listening to music, watching video, etc...so I don't have to upgrade that often. My last laptop, I bought top of the line and it lasted me 6 years. Still was running well, but it had Windows XP and I'd need to sink some money into it to get Windows 7 to run smoothly on it - so I got the one I have now, which was the best laptop Toshiba had to offer when I bought it almost 2 years ago. I expect it to last me 4+ more years....then I'll probably need to upgrade again.

Yep, custom Windows PC I've built myself (just built one for work too).

I usually go about 2 years between upgrades. When the tech cycles go through. About to get to one again this year and might upgrade if I have the extra money.

I have to have a powerful machine for my 3D work, so if I can get it faster then it helps a lot.

same here. If the computer is fast and working I dont really change unless I have to

Apples have fiber and make you poop. You can't eat Windows.

but windows protect you from wind, rain, snow, cold, burglars, birds, snakes, bees, wasps, ants, mosquitoes, dirt,
you can eat an orange if you need to poop, so apples are not that important, you could live without apples, but it would be really difficult to live without windows

LOL Actually, windows are your worst enemy for burglars. They allow the burglar to case the joint (sort to speak) from the outside looking in. I like apples more than oranges. Plus they have more fiber. I assume this, so it must be true! Windows are bad for birds. Their itty bitty brains can't figure out that just because an object is translucent in aesthetic nature, that it is not there. Stupid birds! Bees have a tendency to get in regardless if you have windows or not. People often leave their windows open or they get in from behind before a door is closed. Windows or no windows. Wind schmid, fortified steel and brick walls can take care of wind much better than windows can! And dirt? C'mon, stop reaching you Window lover! Because my house windows it is not capable of getting dirty... puuulease, you don't know me sir or my pets!

btw I am being serious. Very serious. Yes... very...

well...yeah, but Still Imagine your house Without windows :horror
Imagine nothing there to protect you, Or imagine your house just walls, either way it would be horrible, windows allow you to get sunlight while being saved from birds and bees, and protect you in the rain,

apples :dunno they are nice but, :dunno I dont think they are as important :lol

You can use apples to throw at intruders like burglars!

:lecture :exactly:

Sunlight is overrated. :lecture

But I can't peep at Batty through a wall, so windows are a necessary evil.

F U SUN! :pfft:

LOL, I wonder which came first, this window or apple thread. I'll check later. Just had an apple for breakfast!!!

The apple came before the window. The first personal home computer was an Apple. Again, I assume this, so I must be right! I love that logic!

So yeah! btw Cute _____ Fosing!
