HT ED 209 Battle Damage

Just got this big mofo but I'm having a problem becasue the head keeps going down o) by the next day. Anyone else have this problem?

How to solve this situation ? Do tell.

I have the normal version and he's been sitting in my dining room since I unpacked him about two years ago and so far no slouching, in fact no probs at all. Are you sure the ball joints are fully pushed in? Also it might work better if you kind of position the hips pointing slightly outwards, that should 'mechanically' hold the weight better.

Just kidding....
If you can dismantel the legs, had some glue the the joint and let it dry... Reasmble it and the joints should be tight and stop the slouching issue!

I'm with wookster, no problems. Just be careful if you decide to take the legs off. I tried once, but stopped when I thought the force was about to become excessive. It's a hard plastic, brittle I'd say, so go easy.

no problems with mine. i think BadMoon broke a hip joint trying to take a leg off so be careful.

that would be cool. I don't know how to do the static look, if that is what you are talking about.

Anyone have pictures of their BD Ed-209s? I don't think its available anywhere now but just out of curiosity I'd like to see some closeups of the battledamage, a front-on view and a top-down view of the whole piece. I've only ever seen the promo photos.

I only got a few shots of this before I put it under the Dremel, and some of them are kind of washed out by the flash, but they should give you the basic idea:

Dude I gotta tell ya one thing. I love that battle damaged arm but I hate hate hate the fake bullet holes!!! It's not even movie accurate. If you watch the battle scene between Robo and Ed in Robocop 1, Robo dropped his gun long before the the ED come out to tear him up. He only forced the ED to shoot himself in the arm with his own gun. But that's the only damage it got. He never got shot at even once. Sheesh. Someone please take a commission from me to have these crappy bullet holes painted over. Please!

This was posted on some robocop board recently....didn't think it deserved its own thread so I put it here.

"Hot Toys has let us know that they indeed have the license to make a RoboCain figure and that they are currently busy with making a prototype. Via a phone conversation with HOT TOYS they also say that we can expect an update on their site by the end of this year.

The scale will be 1:6 and release date for the figure is sometime in 2008.

BTW, there might also be a chance for a Clarence Boddicker gang by HOT TOYS, but that is yet no certain. They have to discuss it further with the president of Hot Toys.
