I wonder if they're holding off on releasing this figure because they haven't decided yet on whether she'll have a non-helmet look. Also - I wonder if they'll make her poncho removable. They should also do a 2-pack with Wicket.

I'll be passing on this figure regardless personally. ANH Leia and Hoth Leia are the Leias I'll stick with.

I'll probably buy any Leia they release, but I'll be super disappointed if they don't make an "unhelmeted" sculpt and don't have her complete uniform under the poncho.

That's what I'm hoping too but unfortunately I think there are too many Ewok haters. It's a shame as Sideshow's Fall of the Empire is awesome.

In fact I'd give up on having a non-helmet look to get a Wicket but doubt it'll happen.

Highly unlikely, too popular of a character. Who knows when she goes up for order though? Lots of previewed figures seem to be in limbo right now with the marvel stuff coming out.

Preview links don't mean much anyway. I'm sure the Falcon cockpit from HT can be found somewhere on Sideshow's site and we all know chances for this to be released are very slim.

It's almost been a year since they previewed this. Then when they do finally put it up for order, we'll have to wait another year for it to ship. This hobby can be quite frustrating.

It's especially frustrating with HT practices. Beside their somewhat questionable lineups at times, their bad habit of revealing prototypes that never see production is particularly annoying. They may believe this is an efficient business tactic to convince collectors to get involved deeper in a line but that could backfire on the long run. I know i've been more wary with my latest purchases. Knowing there is a full year between PO and release, i now tend to wait for actual release before making my move. That way, i'm not necessarily getting a certain figure if its perfect companion piece is not announced ( Cassian for Jyn or Base for Chirut for example).

Right? I really wish they would be better about communicating their plans/intentions with prototypes.

There is no way this can go the way of HT's Power Droid, Snowtrooper Commander and ROTJ stormie. A Leia figure isn't going to disappear - a hero can be long-delayed then still see release like HT Han Stormie.

That said - ten months is a LONG time without an update, and HT's TFA 3PO seems to have lost its window (though that may resurface in the lead-up to Ep IX, and Hamill confirmed 3PO is in Solo.)

He confirmed Anthony Daniels for Solo. The cast list has a different character listed for him.

Doesn’t mean 3PO couldn’t appear as well though.
