I google image search John Hurt and turns out not a lot of picture of Hurt in Alien. I then used pictures of him in different ages for references. Sort of getting an overall idea of his look.

There are some good photos on the extras disc to Alien (Quadrilogy disc 2). There are some profile head shots front, back and side profiles of John Hurt plus a couple of shots with the haedcover on. I would post them but won't be able to until the weekend.

Those are the ones, you've got it.
Look for the ones where he is standing on the planet surface / landing leg set with the helmet off, those will help him out too.

The nose looks way too big though.

it looks great, but i'm guessing a lot of John Hurt comes out in the paint, because i'm not really seeing him in there.

and i agree with abake - waaay better than anything I could do!!

Thanks! I made the head from scratch. Super Sculpey will stay soft as long as you don't bake or apply heat to it. It is a very good medium for sculpting heads or scratch making little parts . I will make some more changes to it tonight. It helps if I put it down and walk away for some time . I usually can find out where or what to make changes easier.
