Locking's up to mods, but if this one's locked, another one's going to get made when news comes because this one will be locked, and innevitably Wookster will be posting the high res photos as he always does. I say let this thread be for now

It does serve to keep hope alive. Hopefully in the forthcoming newsletter, and who knows, maybe a Watchmen announcement will accompany it. 
I'd bet more on a Watchmen announcement than Joker pics in the next newsletter. It would be an awesomely DC filled newsletter if we got both! Heck, at this point I'd just settle for an announcement of Watchmen and a listing of the Joker's specifics.

Theoretically. Unfortunately Two-Face is so far the only precedent for the teaser. If Joker follows the same pattern, I'd say we could safely establish that as the process, teaser and then leak images a month later.

are they serious making a "police" joker? cmon. total pass. im perfectly fine with my "regular" joker, bank robber looks nice but not needed, and this one.....forget it, easy pass. whats next, "nurse outfit" joker? please! this isnt like wanting a jack nicholson with fleshy paint, i would totally want that, but just a normal guy with a lame scar in a police outfit? thats not joker, thats insulting!
It is Ledger/Nolan Joker, random and chaotic. It's not insulting. While the price on these figures is tough to just get them all, if you're a big TDK fan and especially Ledger Joker fan, this is a nice addition, as would nurse Joker. The only insulting part is that they'll only make the popular, sure selling figures and don't take chances on characters that may not sell as hot.

Yea, but I still don't understand your problem with the figure and that "not being the Joker" and considered "insulting." Why would a nurse Joker have been bad as well? If it's "not the Joker" in your view just because he's in disguise and doesn't have a pallid appearance, then I'm not quite sure why you have any affection for the TDK Joker, who is already a man disguising his true appearance with makeup for the sake of theatricality and to induce fear, rather than having had an accident at a chemical factory.
The Joker uses disguises. Frequently. It's just part of his character. If he wanted to execute the mayor, he couldn't well push through the crowd in face paint and purple coat toting a machine pistol. Why not take the place of one of the honor guard, the only individuals allowed to be brandishing weapons within close range of the mayor? It fits.
