Well he was in the movie The Wiz and Thriller is considered a short film, so I guess he is a movie icon lol.

Well that just tears it up. Anyone with a bit part can be an M-Icon now. Maybe he's paying Hot Toys to do put this out, or maybe Hot Toys doesn't have to pay a licence fee because he doesn't look like this now. Shrewd is how I'd describe Hot Toys. It's just uncanny how shrewd they are.

I hope they go and make more version of MJ, along with this Billie Jean version a Thriller, History, Bad, and Smooth Criminal versions would be amazing and a half.

thanks man. that looks pretty good without the hat even. damn im debating if i should get this. not a huge MJ fan but i cant deny he has the moves. this would be so fun to pose. my older sister worshipped this guy in the 80's. i mean worshipped. posters everywhere. records playing all the time. watching him on TV all the time. so i was exposed to MJ subliminally i guess.

So does anyone else think that if SSC released this figure with that expression that people would be dumping all over them? The expression doesn't bother me that much, but it's exactly the kind of thing that people like to attack Sideshow for.

Not really SS don't release figures of this quality. The expression is for "dance moves" and works well with MJ, Most fans are gonna be posing this guy in mid move.
