The eyes on the bio looks amazing. What did you do to make it black and shiny like that? And it looks very smooth from these pics. Is it permanent?

I've used gel denso liquid transparent rubber to make the new shape for lenses. See?



After it dry I've mixed the my favorite gloss varnish from Citadel with little-little black acryl paint and paint if few times until it become black, but not solid black.



And in the end placed around 3-4 layers of gloss varnish without black on it.
So it's hard-rock now and I think it's permanent.

That is seriously some very nice work you've done on your Pred collection. Modding expensive figures such as these takes guts, but the results are a major improvement over the stock original figure, and well worth it.

I especially like these two scenes... Bravo!

I'm customizing my figures very accurate and almost never let myself to do something that was not shown in the movie. The original movie for me - is like an Icon (well, except AvP - it's trash )So this way they look pretty authentic, but much better that stock versions to me.

As you can see, both Machicko and Wolf got their bandages replaced by natural leather. That was very long job, an about 5 hours spent for one bandage. But I think that it was worth it.

Also, I would like to tell you, how I'm making my photos. There is almost NO Photoshop there, coz I like when the figures looks natural. So there is my HD TV, digital background on it, mirror as the stand for the figure, few various lightning in the room (sometimes with colour lamps) and my camera.

I think it is SO AWESOME when there is no photoshop on the screen. See? No additional graphicks here except my signature:

Very interesting...I didn't think those pics looked Photoshopped. It looked to me like you were using some sort of projector, but wasn't sure exactly how you were getting the effect. I very often take reference pics off my HDTV from Blu-ray DVD movies, but I hadn't thought of using the TV as a backdrop for shooting pics of my figures. That's a brilliant idea, and is probably a lot faster to set up than doing it all on the computer. I will definitely give that a try!

I'm in total agreement with you regarding screen accuracy. I have a couple dozen Predators and about half that number of Colonial Marines from Aliens that I've been working on for the past couple of years. I been compiling files of pics and notes for each figure so that I can make them all as SA as possible, which is the only way I'll ever be completely satisfied with them.

Unfortunately I just don't have enough free time to work on them, but I'm looking forward to sharing some of my work with my fellow Pred Freaks here when the time comes.

Well... not really. There is still lots to do, it's not so easy as seems to be. But it's more natural, and that's awesome.

Heh, now I have only Power loader and HT Drake aka "Muscular Orange". I still would like to get Hicks with Xeno head and "Lady-V", but... HotToys just DON'T give me a single chance to find money and buy them, making new and new awesome releases! *********! )))
