Anyone order these from Toys2.net?

I placed mine back in April and it's still "processed".

I have a feeling they're gonna' stick me with wave 2....

You understand most retailers are getting wave 2, which is technically wave 1 seeing as how the figures out now aren't even a full release...

Toys2 P.O.s didn't go up until May 20.

You're actually right, I was looking at the date from an email concerning the HT PMC Contractor in April. :duh

Regardless, I was curious because I'm seeing more and more people getting theirs, but now their site is stating that wave 2 of the Joker will ship in oct/nov

Is it wrong that I am starting to wish i ordered with Animate now? despite all the negative feedback you guys are still getting the figures before me :lol

Animate is a pain in the ***. I had to open a disbute because I got the email about another two weeks to wait. They finally said they would ship it Thursday. I said either ship it Thursday or give me my money back. SO the long winded answer is waiting is probably a better idea.

i guess you are right! the guy i am buying with doesn't have any negative feedback so I just hope he keeps true to form.

Yeah, I was impatient. I ordered one from Joe on the board and wanted another. I thought since it said INSTOCK, it meant it was instock at his store not Hot Toys is sending me more.

To be honest ( and not to relate to your deal or dealer specifically) , I tend to stay away from international dealers. It's not just the added shipping hit and the drag time either.

With a domestic dealer, assuming you aren't using Ebay, you are probably going to use your CC. A CC will offer you far more protection than PayPal will. PayPal is not a bank and they are not regulated like one. Reading their TOS is a little bit scary to be honest. Often signing up for PayPal waives you of certain rights that are inherent to your credit card and bank account otherwise.
GG

I do so agree with you. With HK sellers, I usually make a small purchase first to gauge reliability, then it's got to be something I'm desperate for to order. I have heard too many Paypal horror stories. As far as US sellers go, a lot of people have knocked ordering from BigBadToyStore.com due to their prices, but I have never had a bad experience with them- items are packed super well, and the prices usually are not too bad. Sure, the HT Batman and Joker cost more than from the HK sellers, but the lower postage makes up for it, and I have easier recourse if there were to be a problem (but as I said, I have always recieved great service from them.) I'm also happier knowing that extra money is going to support a US business instead of a foreign post office. My BB Costume Batman is on the way now from BBTS, shipped 2 days ago, which is pretty timely, and I know it's going to get to me in great condition. For those who havent ordered, honestly, I'd wait for DC Direct to import them rather than take a risk with a dealer you really don't know or has an iffy reputation. I will say that abc-xpress is an HK seller on ebay I have had good luck with, just to name-drop, though. They're great at keeping in touch with you, too.

Frankly, and it's a bit sad, there are way way way too many dealers in this hobby, domestic and overseas, who act like they are doing you a favor by taking your money. Let me not gloss it over without also pointing out there are some truly great dealers out there too. But I find the majority in this hobby are guys I don't think really handle themselves professionally.

I've been to hobby shows and listened to dealers talk to customers in their booths and some talk to their customers in their stores and am often stunned. There's a saying I have, "Bread and butter doesn't taste so good when it's drowned in piss"

I can't speak for anyone else, but I'd rather go without a hobby item than deal with someone outside my range of usual dealers who I feel a bit fuzzy about. Really, I think that thought I had really sums up some, not all, dealers in a nutshell -

Some businesses act like they are doing you a favor by taking your money

Sorry to go off topic a bit. For guys out there waiting on international shipments or preorders, I wish you guys nothing but good luck and speedy and safe travel for your items,

GG
When I use Paypal, I always use my credit card. You are a fool if you buy anything using your Paypal balance, unless it is someone you know.

I opened a dispute w/ Animate today. They guy promised me it would ship Tuesday or he would give me a full refund. Then he emailed me Monday and said he would give me the refund he just wanted to confirm my email address. I'm still waiting for my refund or my figure.

this really sucks, people (ebay sellers) should'nt do that, its not like these figs are 20 bucks, they should tell you upfront that their supply is short or not list the figs as "in stock" animate could have kept its 100 fb if they would have handled the situation better and not have people sending them their money for them to "hold". anyway i sure hope you guys that have'nt gotten you figs do get them or your money back.....but preferrably the figure.
