Not sure on the final painted price. That is part of the reason Kuato needs to talk with Chris. But Kuato isn't the ONLY option. If you prefer to go with someone like Josh or Les you can. Its just that this Chris and Chris Combo has worked very well in the past, plus (I think) you only need to pay shipping once if it is getting painted by Kuato.

Oh yeah, his work is great.

I like the idea of having him do it since it will all be handled together, more or less, and maybe save on shipping since it will go direct from Chris to Kuato right? Also Les and Josh are SO back logged right now. Maybe going through Kuato will speed up the the process a bit??? Dont know.

When is the latest you will need payment for discount price?

When the head and cane are done and go to molding and casting the discount period ends and the the full price goes into effect: $35.00 per head, $20.00 per cane. So be sure to keep tabs on the progress. I'll announce the discount end date after I show final photos so there will be a short ime period for any stragglers to get the deal!

There will be a paint option, just waiting to see if Kuato wants to take this one on or if I need to round someone else up (only the best!).

But it will be a separate transaction. Kuato usually gives my commissions a very good price, around $35.00. Anyone paying for shipping to me who later opts for paint will get a shipping credit so they only have to pay one shipping charge. I will send one or two shipments to the painter who will then send out individual orders so it saves the extra shipping.

I'm painter of last resort..... not because I'm not good (look at the Joker in my signature), but because my time is better spent sculpting! If I do it I will set the price the same as Kuato would.

Isn't the basic shape of the cane the same for all of them? I think the only thing at this scale that would make them different would be paint. I like the flame cane, but also a plain style as well. A couple of canes painted differently wouldn't be a bad idea.

To make it easier and perhaps more cost efficient, I'd be happy with the curved ended plain cane.

As usual, as long as you can get it to me before casting commences, that would be fine. But please feel free to send it anytime before that..... I like money, after all! Either cane handle would be fine to sculpt, so whatever the consensus is I will sculpt.

Painting the flames at this scale might be somewhat problematic. We'll have to get Kuato's expert opinion.

Speaking of which, yes, he has agreed to paint a number of these as well as on my other commissions.

We are working out a plan to allow him to offer some discounted paint apps but keep him from being buried under a ton of my heads!

Let me clear up a few details with him and we'll update you shortly.

Nope. Sorry about that chief, I got carried away.

I reckon it's too extravagant to tie up time getting flames painted on each cane. I vote keep it simple. I know I already said that, but hey, while nobody else is piping up I'll just repeat myself ad nauseum.

original for me too please. The flame cane was nice, but the house I'm building is on the cover of the season 3 DVD, so this works for me.

Well... I prefer the flame cane, but anyone is good for me. I just think that the original one is harder to sculpt and to be hold by a figure's hand. And this was the only of all House's canes that had this shape... a neutral shaped cane would be more fair I guess.

Any suggestions on which clothes to use for the figure? I specifically plan on using a Hot Toys body.

My hot toys recipe so far:

Lincoln Burrows A-shirt (no sleeves, less bulk is a plus considering 3 layers of clothing on the upper body)

Bank Robber Joker suit jacket (the gray suit jacket from V1 joker works too, and is a tighter fit)

Cowboy James Dean Jeans (They're amazing quality and fit, but I tracked down the 2008 Hot Toys PMC jeans and I'll let you guys know how those are when they arrive)

That leaves out the button-up and I don't think hot toys makes a good fitting one so I've got a blue one by ACI on the way. Last resort is a hottoys prison break Micheal overshirt. It has the buttons but is short sleeve. It's a little too big also.
