Hi guys!

Everyone knows how amazing this piece is. But I heard so many things about the paint job that I'd like to put this to the test. Please tell me what you think.

From "I'm really happy with it" to "I hate the paint job that's why i didn't get one" let us know what you really think and let's put an end to this......

I'm glad to know that CelticWarrior loves it.....:wink1:

It is just my impression or the one at Comic con had a different paint job? As I remember, The Hulk at the Con was a bit darker, a little more like the BSP but the final product paint job was a lighter green...

Am I right?

Its just ok. Great pose but the boring light color makes it a very uninteresting piece. Ill sell mine if/when the price is right...

I don't like the original paint job and hair. Thats why, i had 6 of them converted Maestro, Planet Hulk, Red Hulk, Gray Hulk and World War Hulk in progress right now. Whatever, you decide to do with yours, i think it will turn out great. I did see some of your work before.

Thanks Greatwall. I can easily redo the paint job, all I need is time, which I usually don't have. Your Hulks look great. Particularly the red Hulk.

I will redo mine but with a slightly darker green to look more like the first photos posted at Sideshow.

Cheers :wave

Ah the 6th one must be a repainted darker green.

The original is fine with me....although a slightly darker green close or equal to the Hulk vs Silver Surfer would be nice. Its accurate to Oliveri anyway.

i think people doesn't like ss painted job because the custom ones, but i personal think is cool.

The colour seems a bit washed out and not at all like sample shown on the webpage or the box. I have no skills whatsoever as a painter so will just have to live with it as is.

Most of the time I like it. It really depends on the lighting. If the room is too bright I am not all that crazy about it. But when the room is a bit darker then it looks fine.

However, The face always looks great IMO. Fantastic job there. What drives me a little crazy is not the light color but the dark color they used to highlight the muscles. With the green being lighter the dark highlights just stand out a way too much. The Highlights end up looking like a paint job and not natural.

Overall I am happy and I don't feel the need to change it. It's a great statue and the detail is amazing.

But yes, PF olive Green would have been a better choice.

i don't really have a problem with it. definitely looks better in person than in pics for the most part. it does seem a little chalky/washed out looking but it isn't a deal breaker. despite that i still think it is an amazing piece.

I think you have it backwards. The reason you see so many customs is because people don't like the paint. How many PFs did you see repainted or customized? My guess is zero, because the paint was great on that one.

The comiquette paint looks like a used and dried bar of Irish Spring. Dull, flat and lifeless in person. The sculpt on the other hand is very good, and that's why you see so many customs of this piece.

The color looks pretty close to the control art by Ariel O. Too bad Ariel's Hulk wasn't a slightly darker green.

I don't think the paint job is bad, but the color could be a bit darker. The hair is another subject all together. That said, I love mine.
