Well, after over a year of resisting, I finally caved and purchased the Green HULK PF (#330/1000). I ended up paying $449 plus shipping, not great but not bad I guess. Now, I've viewed many pics of him online and read many descriptions, but NOTHING can prepare one for the MASSIVE AWESOMENESS of this piece! I had pre-ordered the THING EXCLUSIVE when it was solicited, and felt I really needed Hulk to pair with it. Had I ever seen it in person when it was first released, I would've bought it on sight! I can't imagine a more impressive-looking and definitive Hulk collectible: kudos Sideshow! Now, if we can eventually get a THOR as well...!

As an aside, I purchased it from a west coast seller, and thought the shipping charge was a bit high, $95.00 insured. When it arrived, I saw that it actually cost the seller $134.00 via USPS Parcel Post to ship! And the post office had to leave a delivery slip for it, with the notation "To(sic) Big". (Wonder if I can find a 1/4-scale Santa hat for Hulkie, and talk the wife into incorporating it into our Christmas decorating?)

congrats! really an incredible piece. the seller was an idiot to ship USPS..i shipped one for like $30-35 via FedEx from Alabama to New Jersey.

Does anyone recall how much it cost sideshow to ship the Hulk to the East Coast? Reason I ask is because I was thinking about canceling my Thing PF at sideshow and ordering it at Cornerstore and save $30 bucks, but cornerstore is charging $53.00 to ship it to the east coast. I assume sideshow didn't charge that much for shipping the Hulk to the east coast.

(I did not get my Hulk from sideshow so I don't know how much they charged for shipping)

Any info is great appreciated.

Man, Hulk sounds cool. Kinda tempted to get one cuz I like large statues. Wasn't impressed at first, now I'm warming up to it.

If I can ever find one for under $400, I'll probably pull the trigger.

The PF Hulk is my Holy Grail! Can't believe I missed out on him.

It's kind of funny that people are now searching for the Hulk PF and calling it a grail of sorts. I know quite a few people that bought them as investment pieces and had them sitting around their house for like a year but they couldn't sell them for a profit. Now, things are appearing to pick up and get interesting. :monkey3:lol

I was thinking about you when I wrote that post. :lol

Not that the Hulk PF has been selling for way under retail or anything but it definitely wasn't the next Doom as predicted. The Grey hulk has done fairly well but that's because it has a small ES for a MArvel piece. I wonder if the release of the Thing will raise the prices on our old Hulk friend. I have a green and a Grey...one of them will have to go soon I imagine. The empty space that box will leave will be unreal.

I really don't think buying future Marvel pieces for flip potential is a good idea. I mean if the Hulk stalled out, others may face a much similar fate. I am pretty positive we will be seeing some low secondary market prices on the Thing pf once it's released. The economy is really sucking right now so these polystone luxuries will be the first to take the hit.

Which is why I canceled the Thing long ago. I am not getting burned again.

I canceled as well. Not only for that reason but quite a few actually. I do foresee a lot of people getting burned when they try to resell it in this market. Even the presales on ebay have been embarrassingly low.

If I pick one up at all it will be on the secondary market for much less. :monkey5

Do you still have any members left in your Hulk army or are they all gone?

I'm still hunting a Gray Hulk but with people's asking prices well into the $900s and $1000s, its just not a reality at this point. I'm hoping for a large dip in some of these Marvel pieces down not to retail obviously I think those days are passed but definitely hoping to bring it down a lot lower than $900. As the future Marvel releases are hitting though fill old holes becomes less of a priority. I think many collectors are still trying to get everything new as well as fill in old gaps and that leads to a choice that usually votes towards whichever costs less which leaves flippers and sellers in a lurch.

I'm looking to get about $900 for my Grey Hulk which I think is about the going rate at this point.

As much as I love owning this grail, space is too much of an issue to be ignored any more.
