Who here is under the delusion the entertainment industry is about anything other than making money?

Saw the film today, and enjoyed the hell out of it. Some reviewer gave it a 'C'? And?

Just got back and thought this one was heaps and bounds better than the first. Really loved this movie.

Watched it yesterday, didn't want to but my gf dragged me to it :lol I was very surprised in a good way, I almost fell asleep in the 1st one, but this one was completely opposite, I cared about the characters, the story and Jennifer Lawrence was just fantastic, one of the strongest female characters I've seen in years, and the very last scene at the end where you can see the anger in her face was wow worthy.

This movie got me interested in the books, actually.

Plotholes? What plotholes? I saw some discrepancies but nothing that affected the plot real bad.

Agreed. The first one was so forgettable but this one was just ten times better and had you on the edge of your seat. I read the books and knew what was going to happen but I was still on edge.

Yup, I thought this was another Twilight teen-esque movie, I was wrong.

Although I do think it needs more blood :lol I've been told that the deaths in the books are described a bit more brutal than what it's seen in the movies.

The only thing similar to Twilight is a love triangle but other than that they don't even compare Hunger games is a great story and not a fad.. Yup the book is much more brutal and they screwed up the hounds from the first book. They should of had the eyes of the kids who were killed.

It was definitely better than the first movie. Apparently for fans it was something great, people were clapping at the end of it, I sure didn't feel that strongly about it, but its the first clapping I've heard since Avengers opening weekend.

Well, the love triangle is not the focal point of the story, it's not even well defined yet, they don't force it on you, it's just there, which is good.

I saw Catching Fire over the weekend. I just don't think I'm a fan of The Hunger Games. The films are decent, but I never feel strongly about them one way or the other. I think overall the premise is a bit ridiculous for my taste, and the production design cheap.

Saw this but never saw the original. I didn't know what the **** they were talking about half the time, but I was entertained.

Liked it. Thought it was better than the first one.

Saw this last weekend at IMAX with friends.

I'm definitely in the camp of liking this franchise. I thought the second was superior to the first and have high hopes for the third installment (er, the third and fourth, since they're splitting it).

Game on, Snow. Game on.

Saw this yesterday night, and as with most people, I liked it better than the first. (And Lawrence sure can act, holy smokes. Never would've thought.)
