My most favorite elder relative died today- about 7 hours ago.

And after a shot of Patron and 2 pints of Guiness, I am drunk.

And deservedly so...

Sorry to hear that Sam. I lost my Uncle this weekend and the funeral and wake is tomorrow so I may join your drunkeness.

That's a really sad thing Sam. I lost my favorite relative on Thanksgiving, and now, nothing is the same.

Funny thing is, I haven't been able to get drunk since.

You can find good in anything. What I have come to learn is that, after attending the funerals of both grandfathers, one grandmother, three uncles who passed well before their time, and now my father, who was also much too young, there is no amount of coincidental good that can outweigh the bad when someone you love dies.
