I have just devoted the entire weekend to LOTR!
Been watching The Two Towers and it's appendics, Return of the king and it's appendics!

The ultimate weekend, Don't know how many times I have seen them now.
(feel like i sizzy when I allmost weep when they start talking about the end in the appendics of ROTK!)

When you se the appendics you realise that it was so much material who didn't made it in to the film, even the extended version! I would love to see an extended extended version, where they take all the material they have and put it in a movie for the real fans, regardless of how long it would be! I wouldn't mind a 6 hour long LOTR movie!

But what are the odds of that happining?

Though I have one question, remembered that Howard Shore made live concerts, sorry to say but I missed out on those :( Do anyone know if he still has them?

Probaly not...

Don't really know why I post this... I guess my only point is that the LOTR really are fantastic and I will be able to se them a 1000 times without get bored!

And I CAN'T wait until The Hobbit!!! (Do anyone know what's happining with that, when are they going to start shooting?)

Well, I wish you all a great day and remember to watch the trilogy often!

I've done this many times myself. I think when my school district goes on spring break I'll spend the weekend watching both the LOTR Trilogy and the Star Wars Saga.

As far as I know, the Lord of the Rings Symphony was a big hit, and I haven't heard anything about it stopping...
Had the chance to get to the symphony in Oslo last summer. It was an outdoor concert - it was raining cats and dogs parts of it - a fantastic experience!
:D

Just two weeks ago I made it a LOTR day together with a friend.

All 3 extended editions in one day, we started at 8.45am, with a few unplanned interruptions we ended at 10.45pm!

Was a lot of fun and I plan on making it a regular December event! :)

I got t a chance to see the LOtR Symphony last summer in New Mexico...needless to say it was wonderful...I had never been to a live symphony before, and to be honset my wife kinda made me go, but by the time it ended all I could think was how amazing it was....highly recommend seeing it for anyone who has not...

Last fall they had a symphony of John Williams music(4 hours worth!!!)...Harry Potter, Jaws, Idiana Jones, Superman, and a few others...the best part was when the played the Imperial March and a Vader came down one of the idles escorted by about 20 stormtroopers(very very expensive costums)....I still get goose bumps when I think about it....

!

There was a rumor that PJ's gonna release some deleted scenes and a blooper reel when the HD trilogy comes out. The deleted scenes are not gonna be added to the movie though:monkey2

Do anyone know when and where they are going to have concerts in the future?

Would very much like to se one!

I saw the LoTR Symphony at the Hollywood Bowl a couple of years back, FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. I would welcome that again and pay again to have that. But instead of watching the movies 100 times, might I suggest that you read the books. Best books you will ever read, and IMO, the Silmarillion is better than LoTR. Check 'em out.

Yeah!
I have read the books many times, and I think the Hobbit is the best of them all!

But is it no one who knows when and where they are going to play?!:sick

Really want to se the concert!

No one who knows where Howard Shore has his concerts, if he still has them..

I think TBS is playing all 3 films this week. Has anyone seen the commercials for these? Pretty hilarious!

Check out his website. I saw HS conduct the LPO at the Royal Albert Hall back in Sep'04. Unbelievable experience.

They shot it. I'm a card-carrying member of the Grammar Police.

Clocking in at 12 hours, the entire Extended LOTR Trilogy is all I could want it to be and more. I know every film has it's problems, but these are as perfect, I think, as an films have a right to be.
I'm sure there are TONS of deleted scenes or snippets of scenes that could be added in, but I really don't need to see any more. I'm sated. Fat and Happy LOTR Fan, me.
