Really, as we can see, humour depends on the person. All that matters is that someone finds something funny. No one cares what anyone else finds funny. Only what they find funny. It's all about us. Humour is a personal thing that others may happen to share in. It's a feel good activity and sharing it is mere hope that it makes someone else feel good too. That is not always the case. I'm sorry you were disappointed Rory. Many times it lacks presentation and timing, or something only becomes funny when it happens to someone else. Maybe the musical nature of the production was also lacking, offsetting the humourous absurdity that was hoped it would convey, was lost on you.
