My first Predator was the original movie pred which was assembled. I just received the Lost Pred. This is the first time I am "building" a Predator. I can't seem to get the netting around his shoulders. They appear to be stuck in the shoulder joints. Any pointers on getting it over the shoulders fully? I've only got to get it over the little gap between his shoulder and neck but it wont budge and I don't wanna break it.

Thanks,

Viper

(and yes I did try the search feature but didn't fin what i needed lol)

No such thing as a stupid question. Stretch it apart at either end to straighten it out and slip it over. If you let it get bunched up, it'll just get caught and tear. You can also use the chest as a type of brace to keep the edge out when sliding it up and over.

Thanks that helped I got it. Damn I've been at this for a couple hours now. Either I'm stupid or this guy is a pain in the rump

Unless you're a vet, all the preds at some point are a pain in the ass. For me, it was the loin cloth until I did a boil'n dip to get it over his hips. But man, when you get them together, they're worth every penny. :D

I would agree...I have put together at least 10, and each time its a pain in the arse, although it does get a bit easier with each one.

I recently put together a wolf and found using a small piece of cardboard (like the one the loin cloth comes on) to help slide the figure in worked wonders.

Well thanks for the input guys. I got him finished. Looks as good as i expected. Very unique looking pred. Although I do see why people say he has a "poofy hair" issue lol

Yea my first assembly took me 2 hours or so I believe. It was a pain but when you're done you learn to appreciate the details so much more because it was so hand on. You feel good in taking part in creating this Predator. That's how I felt anyway.

And I do indeed feel that sense of accomplishment however I have an issue or two. For some reason his closed staff holding hand is extremely loose and falls out easy and I had to glue his left thigh armor since it kept falling off though I've heard this is common with lost preds.

Nuke some water in the microwave, in a teacup for about 1 min. dip the hand in for 20 second then bend the fingers closed more and run the hand under cold water. Repeat until he hold the staff better.

Hot water or blow dryer is still the fastest way to fix something on Hot Toys figures. :D

Actually I meant the wrist joint itself. The hand doesnt want to snap in. It falls out easy. He holds the staff perfectly well. its actually what's holding up the hand! lol
