Well I have the HT 1/6 Guardians of the Galaxy Star Lord. I wanted to make a custom of Owen Grady using the same sculpt (before I saw the Amazing Chronic Collectibles one even shown) I bought a new 1/6 body and hands and a kitbash outfit someone made that looked pretty identical for Grady.
Well I started to thinking of an idea I wanted to use the HT Star Lord body instead for Owen.
I looked up tutorials and various research on how to deal with HT pegs and how brittle they are. As cautious as I was I still ended ****ing up and now Star Lord is one hand-less. :slap
I was trying to see if the hands I had would work I knew I had to enlarge the peg hole, etc.
I still have it displayed as it was my first HT after researching so long about HT and prices when it was released as a preorder it was one of the coolest experiences of being a collector.
I've wanted to rebuy it keeping both (I couldn't part with the hand-less Star Lord haha).
Just to have all the accessories again, and even the orb (which was the version I wasn't able to get) would be cool.
I don't know that's kind of the dilemma. Plus next year there will be a new Star Lord HT for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Can I wait that long is the question. I think I can. :D

Or you could just buy replacement hand pegs on ebay for $5.

I'll definitely go to Ebay for that. This might sound like a stupid question.
The peg broke off. I even tried to hot glue it and well almost had sticky fingers lol
How could I go about using those replacement hand pegs and repair?

there should be a thread for people who manage to break HT pegs. i haven't broken one peg in several years on dozens of figures, and the only broken peg is on alien 1, i got it secondhand with a broken peg, and it's irreplaceable today.
sorry, back to the question. if you need to take the remains out of the forearm, find a tiniest drill, screw it inside that piece of plastic remaining in the arm and get it out.
if you glued everything and ruined the forearm, well then just find some cheap body and replace the arm.
you can do it either by taking the forearm out of the elbow or simply taking the body apart and replacing arms. they all are fixed with screws, nothing difficult.
is this the body?

i definitely saw a thread that compares different bodies, i cannot find it, it would help you to get the idea what to look for.

I was thinking of buying a new body since I screwed up. And anything secondhand with a broken peg is never good sorry to hear about it being Alien too. And to your question with the pic yes that's definitely the body :D
