I just canceled a bunch of stuff I had on order and man it felt good.

Has anyone ever done that and just felt that much more liberated?

Yup, I've canceled a ton of stuff in the last month or so and it felt great, very liberating indeed. I only kept the stuff that I really wanted and it's gonna stay that way from now on. :rock

I did the same this last week. I dropped about $600 worth of stuff for the 4th quarter. I think there may be one or 2 more cancellations in the next month or so.

I have done that, although not in a grand scale, and it really does feel good sometimes. Like a huge weight off my shoulders.

I have had to do some mass cancellations in the past, but I am always left with a kind of "oh shucks" feeling. If money and space were not issues I would gladly order one of everything SS makes.

I've only cancelled one item - the Firespektor 12 inch. It made me sad because I really wanted that figure, but my wallet was definitely happy. I went crazy earlier this year buying up Marvel pieces and now I am paying a heavy price with all my bills, so now I am VERY selective. Only 4 things on the horizon for me, the most expensive being the Darkness PF and Thor. Sadly, Thor may end up getting the shaft as well.....but we will see.

lol.... i did this a few months ago and HELL yes it feels great. right now the only things i have on preorder are Stealth IM , 12" obi wan , and 12" palpatine pack. feels great, but if i had the money i'd be ordering the x-men 2 diorama and shopping around for the first one.

Yeah, I think sometimes it's very easy to get swept away with this hobby, especially if you are a member of these boards. All you have to see are some good pics in a thread and it's over for your wallet. :lol

Canceling things feels great because it feels like you are taking control. I think Toe said above that he felt this way when he got out of 12" figures but to be honest, that is mainly what I am keeping.

I came into this hobby only liking those because they were cheaper and you could actually play with them. Now I feel like I am taking a step back to focus on why I originally began. I am just having more fun with action figures and my wallet couldn't be happier.:):lol

I am pretty much stepping back and going back to collecting what I used to, movie posters. They are a lot cheaper and don't take up as much space.

I totally know what you mean Rory. It feels pretty damn good to cancel sometimes. I am running into SERIOUS space issues, especially with my 12" stuff. I think my 1:6 collection is pushing something like 70 or 80 figures.

I love everything I have and dont want to ell anything, so I need to managed my future purchases a lot better.

Just to much out there and not enough room or $$$ for it all.

with all the stuff ive sold in the past couple of weeks, it is definitely liberating.

I was just talking to a friend on how addictive it is once you sell that first valuable piece.....then you look at some of the others and see nothing but dollar signs. I love it.

I think I'll be keeping my MR stuff, but the figures and statues and busts are going to start getting axed.

i cancelled all 4 rocky 12in. it felt good since they all would have shipped at the same time and set me back over 400 big ones. i really only wanted them for the drago fig. but after seeing the finished version i wasnt impressed with his giraffe neck and dark hair. the others looked really good though. maybe in the future.

Lol I know exactly what you mean Nash! Once Iron Man was gone, all I can do is look around for other things to go bye bye. :lol

Having money is better than being broke and having material things to worry about.

Although, I just can't bring myself to sell the lightsabers. I love them. :)

I'm moving right now and seeing all the stuff I have made me cancel some things too. Mostly stuff like Tonner Marvels and things I'll never display like Stealth Iron Man, but I really need to cut down.

...good choice :welcome

No kidding. :monkey1

This can get really addicted if you don't watch it.

I canceled a ton of stuff in the last few weeks as well and it's not just Sideshow stuff. I have a habit of preordering everything and then just deciding what to keep later on. Lately I've been trying to break that habit but it seems not to be working.
