I'm sorry, man. Before my grandpa passed away, he actually made all the arrangements himself so we would have to go through making them. I really hate when people have to go on us.

Such is life.

We're keeping him happy and he almost looks normal now.
According to all the books and what the Hospice nurses
tell us; people have one last push before towards normal life
before they go, so I guess we're getting close now.

Almost forgot, a few of you asked about extra weapons and
such. Well, I just listed the 2 extra axes I have, so the people that bought the heads and are making their own, here's your chance if
you want to grab one. I'll post a sales thread.

I'm really sorry to hear about your Father Ike. I know how hard these times are. You and your father are in my thoughts.

Thanks. It couldn't come at a worse time,
but that's just life smacking you in the face and
reminding you, who's in charge...:)

Mini update.

All the figures are sold now. I did PM some of you,
but I thought I'd post something here as well.

Based on current events and the fact we're still
waiting on the heads to come back from the painters; realistically
it's fair to say, 3-6 weeks before we see all
the finished figures. If it happens sooner, then I will
let everyone know. I just don't want to say for sure 3 weeks
and have it be 6 and everyone be dissapointed.

Thanks

Also, a bunch of you have asked me about my
Stencil Girl. Here's her info if you need anything done.
She's, fast, professional and very fair on pricing.

Christine Raver is her name. Company C-N-C Graphics

Email: [email protected]

I'll list her in the custom section on her own thread as well.

I've got couple of these heads on my desk on commission. They're fantastic work, Ike! Enjoying the hell out of the work. I'll post pics once they're painted up.

Yes, one of my customers requested you specifically and I'm
happy to oblige. I'm always interested to see as many different
paint apps of the same head as I can. It really gives you a chance to
see how each painter see's that head and how it translates to
the paint app.

Hope to see the pictures soon.

Thanks.

Ike

The figures are all sold and we' re getting close now.
Still waiting on the heads to come back from the painters,
but here's a look at a few of the custom DX stands you can look forward to.

I think these really give you the sense of walking on
burnt sand, gravel and rock. Also, when you get the
figure on here, darken the room and turn on the LED's,
I hope you'll see what I see; what a special figure it has become.

Gonna be awesome indeed. :rock

One concern though: I don't use figure stands. I will no doubt use your base at some point, but will he stand on that gravel without the stand?

The figure can stand of course on it's own. I just like the
stand, because the axe is metal, top heavy and it would be harder
to pose & hold position without stand. You would have
to balance the axe just right..:)

I remember you showing me a picture of your backdrop stand.
It didn't look wide enough to hold this base.
I might be able to make you a smaller one that might fit on your
stand backdrop. You would need to give me width and depth
measurements and I can see what I come up with.

Or better yet, you can send me your base so I can add the ash, gravel and name plate to it.
Then you can keep your uniformity in your bases, that I see are all the same style.

Either way, let me know.

Sorry fella's, have not been on in awhile, my Father did pass
last week and we had his Celebration of Life Party this weekend.
100 + people showed up from all over the country. We drove
his restored 1966 Bug in the middle of my brothers backyard,
had photos and his art all over the place. It was an all day bash
and I was hurting for the last few days(in more ways then one).

But since I got the painted heads back from Mikey(Not John yet)
I thought I'd post a few pictures.

Still needs arm tatts, final weathering and some minor touch up
work. But as you can see, he really looks pretty damn good :).

Very sorry for your loss IKE. But it sounds like you did right by him with that celebration!

I appreciate your following through with this project and look forward to seeing the finished product with John's paint-up. :)

Thanks. Yes, it was a great party, I think he would
have loved it.

And of course I'm following through, this is my baby..:)
As a matter of fact, I'm doing tatts today.

And the word is..John is working on the last Van Zan
head right now....:wink1: So should hopefully know something
after the weekend.

Excellent!

Just noticed the chain you have displayed here:

If you can't find that proto chain, this one is great! I think I did like the proto tooth better though...

Can't remember what the actual tooth looked like in the movie though

The new tooth is spot on. So is the ball chain, except for scale. Trust me, I have evey possible reference pic in my photobucket. The only
reason I didn't use it on his, is because I broke one of the chains...:slap
How ever, I'll look to see what other chain I may have and
let you know if I have anything like that left.

Nice.

The tooth is perfect then.

I think the only thing about the ball chain that bugs me a little is the scale. The bigger balls make it look a bit like pearls.

I'm picking up a 6 pack of the smallest link chains
the make. My sisters in the Jewelery business
and I get a lot of my chain stuff from her.
So it looks like it will be in scale to the tooth.
When they come in, I'll show some pictures of them with
a tooth on it.
