I am an amateur sculptor/painter and I need some help with the certain clay I should be using and what paint i should be using. I am currently using Marblex and I am finding it a little hard to use. If I use Sculpey, what would be the correct paint to use once my piece is dry? Your help would be awesome.

Thanks

Chris

Hi Turdferguson, I think the best is supersculpey firm because it´s more apropiate for the fine details and has the suficient hardness for this. You can put your work in a oven and ensure your progress and add some clay later for modelling. The paints I use are the acrilycs modelcolor from Vallejo but there is other trademarks like tamiya.
I hope this help you:whip

Like the guy said, TF,

A few months ago I askedthe same question as I wanted to try Sculpey after years of Fimo practice. I was told grey firm supersculpey! I haven't regreted the advice since!

As for paint, you can use acrylics, but I often use acrylics as a base and then cover it oil painting.

hope this helps! :D
