Hey iam a new collecter iam on a budget of £40 a month for now just to see how things go now i want to collecte 12" starwars neca or hot toyz any advice were to start would be welcome ta...

Just depends on what you like. If you like Star Wars you can find most of the older stuff here for a reasonable price. Some on ebay for reasonable prices. If you like movies then Hot Toys is def the way to go. I collect mainly 1/6 SW, GI JOE, and Hot Toys MMS. I found a bunch of SW's stuff on ebay and ordered most of the Hot Toys stuff on websites and Sideshowtoy.com

Yeah, to be perfectly honest, I really don't know what you'd be able to pick up. It'll take you 2-3 months just to pick up a single figure from Sideshow on that budget and the frustration of getting something you think you want on flex pay and then see something you NEED to have but unable to cancel without losing the first payment might be too much. And that's just Sideshow. The HT pieces cost even more and will take even longer. IMHO, you either need to find a way to increase that budget or collect something that allows you to go further with the limits you have.... like NECA. While they don't compare to the high-end stuff, you'll be able to get a decent collection with the modest prices, giving your Pound more mileage.

NECA would good for the simple fact that the elements are a major factor to consider when you live under a bridge.

Yeah, I'm beginning to think this is a tad familiar. Didn't pick up on the ____ty grammar and complete lack of spelling in the posts at first. :lol

If you use a credit card for retail online shops and ebay at least it gives you an extra month to save a bit. keep an eye on the sideshow and hot toys upcoming figures and plan accordingly. If your after hot toys you can buy from Onesixthbruce in the UK who does a layaway option so you pay just under half and the rest when its available to ship.
