Well, first and foremost, as much as I like Steel Brigade, Firefly > Steel Brigade. Second, what makes the SB figure is the headsculpt, not the outfit, which on mine, again, has more of a PMC approach to it. So mine'll wind up being a cool upgrade of the character, while yours will be looking into the mirror mumbling confidence boosters, "I'm good enough, I'm thmart enough, and goth darn it... people like me."

I think it is that you are all over the place. You can't stand CCC because it was never a classic Hasbro figure, but then you don't want to keep the SB figure close to the original. Sometimes its classic or FAIL and other times its like you don't mind changes

It's about the character's look. I'm not above admitting a character looks silly, despite him being "classic." Crockmaster looks like the ____ing Gimp from pulp fiction. If Sideshow made him, I'd hella tone down that look too and make him look more like a swamp dweller. Sniper was a great concept by Sideshow. Not an original figure but extremely practical. Cobra Commander just doesn't belong in red.... period. You're taking two completely different ideals and trying to mix them.

I was in Hawaii a couple years ago and my wife talked me into buying a some since every stupid tourist had a pair on.... I've never felt like a bigger dork in all my life.... I threw the stupid things away before we even left the islands.

Seeing Mario with a pair on reaffirms my feeling that those things are about as lame as footwear can be.
