Are you guys going with the MX-16 / M16 machinegun or a different one? Is the 21st century one any good? I saw it for 3.00, or can anyone recommend a better one.

About a week beind where I wanted to be... Not counting the other twenty weeks. But here's a painted sample (save for a few nits*). Switched silver paints altogether, decided to 86 the spray paint idea as it looked like tin foil. The green is a very close to the original figure and should play well with the olivedrab vests. Still a couple small tweaks needed.

*Note the visor is not glossed and the 'teeth' are a little messy

Cool beans. Glad to see the lot of you are on board. The teeth look like ____ in that pic, but I'll catch them in the end. Really wanted to highlight the colors, particularly the change in green.

I don't have a body put together for him. I think I might have pants. But I've already set up someone to showcase the helmet on the body once I have a solid hardcopy.

Definitely.

I plan to battlewear them a bit. They won't have dings and such all over but the silver is definitely getting a blackwash to bring out the details and to break it up up a bit in the front. The grooves in the green sections will get darkened as well.



I meant to cover this last night, just a few specs.

-the green is a semi gloss which separates it from the black of the neck just a bit more
-neck is obviously flat
-visor WILL be gloss black
-silver is...well, it's silver. But it will be darkwashed to bring out some detail

Once these go out and everyone starts getting them in I'll start up the "reckless mongoose"/"crimson pilot" interest thread, and not a second before. That one's got some good potentional I think and I can't imagine SSC making him.
