Someone probably has both now, I do like the Starman but I'm liking how Playtoy is looking right now.

Both look good for different reasons. It’s two different flavors but both desirable. I was hoping we could get Iconiq sooner for a third comparison, but we’ll see.

I did just preorder the Playtoy version. I like the muscular build, leggings, and more stylized face. I think it’ll pair better with my Iconiq Ryu on the shelf.

Is this an entirely new body from Playtoy? The shoulders seem more defined in this version, also not sure if the first iteration had it, but seamless feet??

Would've really set it off if they actually made the battle dress hairstyle she had with it But it's still dope! Loving that body definition, holy shxt. PT and SM are releasing stuff around the same time a lot aren't they?

I wonder if IconiQ will have to pull off a Jazzinc reveal in light of all these third party Chun-Li figures.

I, too wish the new PT had the correct hair.

What do you guys think IconiQ needs to do remain competitive with all these other releases in terms of accessories/outfits/sculpts etc?

I am a very patient collector. Always have been and always will be. But, I do also believe that if there's one company that wants to stay very relevant and yet, a lot of other companies are making the same thing, then there's extra steps that need to be taken. At this point, for many collectors, Iconiq will definitely have to make alternate outfits and stuff like that For me.. What keeps Iconiq relevant is that fact we still don't have an actual game accurate Chun-li. We have many different styles but we still don't have the EXACT one that'll match the game accurate Ryu. Like yeah the SM and the PT looks amazing! I love them! And I could honestly say I would've gotten them even if I had the Iconiq Chun-li already. Something about the styles of those two really pull me in.. But again.. Iconiq does need to move a little faster.. Idk why they're this slow. I'm still waiting to at least receive my Ken and get my Akuma. But around this time we should've at least gotten like 3 more character reveals. Chun-li, Cammy, Juri. BOOM! But nah, man.. Nothing.. So at this point, in order to stay IN THE LEAGUE and RELEVANT, I'd say they have to be faster. Bc I really don't want to forget them.. Especially considering I only collect their SF figures.. They don't need to be Hot Toys fast where there's a reveal every week or month, but at least maybe every 2 months of some kinda updates? Articulation, Headsculpt touch ups, Tbleague new body sculpts, Tailoring progress and more. Also, I know it could be due to licensing stuff, but there's many people who got the license and they are faster and they make less appealing things.. So idk.. But there's my take on that lol

“Game accuracy” will be a big selling point. She’d likely come with multiple headsculpts for different expressions, more effect pieces like her Kikoken, wired hair ribbons and skirt, a backdrop stage like the others, etc.

I won’t be doing too many crazy poses with the one I grabbed from Playtoy, so I’m eager to see what Iconiq can bring to the table to stand apart.
