Hey mate, thanks for dropping by! I'd love a Marston gun rig with pistol and knife and bullet bandolier. Maybe a hat, depending on the fact if Sunohc will/can sculpt one or not.

Here's some more pictures of John Marston's face...
I really like this picture with him sticking out of the stagecoach. It shows his right side of his face pretty well with all of the scars on it.
This picture is pretty good too for seeing that scarring on the right side of John's face.
One more showing his scarred right side of his face. Notice his unique rifle holder on his back! It's just a rectangular leather piece that seats or holds the gun on his back for quick access. I am hoping that stevostoys can make that back rifle holder as part of the "John Marston rig" for us!
I hope these will help out Sunohc in making us a great John Marston head sculpt! These pictures show some pretty good shots of Marston's hat too for either Sunohc or stevostoys to see it to make the hat for us!

hey guys let me post what I said to mike:
In terms of prices,
this is technically not a group commission.
but rather a public sculpt I would like to offer.
If it was a group commission, with nine people it'd be like $60 per person but I don't want to do that. Kind of gets confusing with the many deposits and such as well.
and I think the biggest factor of price would be whether or not I sculpt the hat. Casting it separately would add to the price (since I pay a caster) and not to mention the time sculpting it.
Right now my regular prices for head sculpts are $33 plus shipping. You can let people know of that price since it will remain constant this summer
and in perhaps then maybe make the hat optional? Or perhaps steve can make a hat and that'd make it easier for me, haha, but if not, I can sculpt it but I'm guessing it'd cost $7-10 extra?
If I didn't have to sculpt the top part of the hair because of the hat (and made it sort of cut off, like Rainman's Clint Eastwood, does Marston wear his hat almost always?) then I could combine the price so it wouldn't cost any extra, but do you see what I mean?

I would also love to start making a John but I think I might just start making a custom cowboy gunslinger. I might also be trying to make this guy. probably a Bonnie too.
I think a modified DML Sgt Steiner head might work for this dude. He looks a lot like James Coburn to me, just sculpt a beard on to him with some sculpey and away you go

Koen asked me to post my best guess on the guns etc, here is my email to him posted back to here, the hat referred to is the main characters...I can also do the sherrif hat, in real woool felt, and I can supply badges too:
HI, the hat looks like it might be more than my standard hat, that
band has big grommets all the way around... I can do that, maybe an
extra $3 a hat, so $19.50 for the hat... tooled rig with holster, my
guess $30, the Bandolier, also tooled, maybe $35... the guns will all
run standard prices... I saw enough pics there to get a good idea...
so the gun rig, bandolier, hat will run 84.50, add in a Henry rifle,
or a specer carbine, or a shotgun, the price goes up.... let me know
exactly which pistol and which rifle you want and I can write you up a
quote.... thanks!

Okay, great! Now we've heard from Sunohc (Daniel), and Stevostoys. Daniel you told me that you would go ahead and sculpt the John Marston head with the hat molded on the head in our last PM....
"I will try and do this piece with his hat sculpted on, until Stevo says otherwise."
Would the price of the head sculpt still be $33.00 if you can get the hat molded on the head too? A one piece sculpt of the head and hat together?
Stevostoys thanks for posting the information about the rig, and guns and hats. I think with the hat IF Sunohc is able to make it molded on the head that would be ideal. But if he can't get the hat to work, then going with your hats would be the other option. I've seen your work on your site, and it is OUTSTANDING! I realize that the "hand-tooled" or hand-made rigs, and bandoliers and guns take a lot of time and effort. So I can understand the pricing.

I'd love to see you make that for us, along with the belt and holster rig. I guess John's belt holster rig is more of a standard one that you may already sell, but I didn't see his special back holster on your website. Any chance you can make that for us? Here's that picture again that I posted earlier where you can see the back holster holding the double-barreled shotgun on Marston's back...

NOTHIN is out of Stevo's reach when it comes to this genre. it does'nt look like a far cry from his Josh Randall mare's leg rig. btw other than the adornments the hat is not much different than his MWN hat

I think Jimmy C, when you pre-ordered this game at Gamestop stores you got a code to download the complete soundtrack. As for music on it from Ennio Morricone, I'm not sure about that. There is one great song he did called, "The Ecstacy Of Gold" that Metallica used for many years as their entrance song at their concerts. Very cool!
Yeah, I really like that "Oiled Duster" jacket from A.J.'s Clothiers! I think I'll get one for my custom John Marston figure! That's how he is in the game for me now. His regular outfit with a duster jacket on very similar to that one!
