wasn't this one one of the original concept sketches for darth maul by mccaig? i think it went on to be the inspiration for the sith-witch? not sure and i am prolly mis-remembering but it's in one of the sw prequel art books.

I believe you are 100% correct. I'm actually a big fan of Star Wars concept stuff. As per my signature, McQuarrie is a hero (along with Joe Johnston, and I even love the Mollo cantina sketches). I think McCaig and Doug Chiang did some very cool stuff too for the prequels. I think their work and design is better than the prequels as films.

Obviously this would not sell well and has about less than zero chance of ever getting made. I'd buy one for that reason alone and because I'm a concept art nerd...

i love the sw concept art. imo they don't get near the credit they should. mcquarrie does now but guys like mccaig and chiang need to as well since they are the reason the sw universe looks they way it does.
