If you are going to use water to clean your computer, I suggest that you use distilled water, at least to rinse it with, because you don't want mineral deposits on your hardware, and then stuck on because of the heat in the computer. Might be worse than a little dust.

Don't use water to clean your computer ever


All that should be in there is dust, which should be easy to remove by air. If you feel you really need to clean something off, I'd probably use some kind of alcohol.

I wouldn't use water either. I would try the electronics cleaner spray for really heavy dirt. First choice is vacuum, for the worst of it, then carefully blowing it off with air. Need to be careful with the air pressure so as not to damage fragile parts.
