Merle is looking great!
(With your eye for detail, I'm sure you're planning to swop the shirt buttons over to other side ;) :))

p.s. Any progress on Lisbeth's bike?

Thanks. Here a list of what I plan on doing.
Notice something in the list..:wink1:

** Key changes I'll be doing to make him more realistic.

1) Working on the HT TTM-19 to give
Merle a little bit of a pot-belly.

2) Putting the buttons on the correct side of the shirt and
making them the correct color.

3) Doing a wash on the pants to fade them to a lighter shade of olive.

4) Weathering everything and bloody-ing up Lil' M and adding some blood
splatter to the clothes.

5) Finishing his other signature gun: Colt .38 Police revolver
And modding his Colt MK IV auto with woodgrain grip covers.

This should be fun...

Lisbeth bike.

I have like literally 500+ parts to the bike.
It's going to take awhile to combine 2 different Tamiya models
and custom parts. So I'm taking my time and getting right.

I have to build a section at a time and then add in mods or
custom parts as I go. Still while making sure that each sections
combines with the next.

This is definitely one of the best custom Merle I've seen! Saw the paint up on Ski's thread he did an amazing job. Plus you did a great job on Merle's arm attachment! Looks just like the show. Plus great job putting together the clothing too! Would you ever consider making a few of the arm attachments to sell one day?

Thanks.

I do have extra parts to make a few more LIL' Merle's, but it will
be awhile before I get to them.

Don't think it's ideal to just throw them up on my Ebay store.
That's the kind of thing that requires people to send me the body they
want it on, so it can be fit properly.

I can also give the formula if you want to try for yourself as well.

PM me if you want more info.

Next update on Merle.

1) Adjusted the shirt collar to the correct position.

2) Put shirt buttons on the correct side and added brass color.

3) Did wash on pants and lightened them up to match color on show.

4) Added partial fat suit to give him a little pot belly.

I really like the pant color now, so much closer to actual color.
Also the pot belly really shows off the wife beater undershirt much
better. Still have some more to do of course, but I'd say he's
80% finished.

Here's a few pictures.

Nice job on Merle. And good artistic license with the arm length.

Thanks.

The Lil Merle's length in the show was always the one thing
that bugged me about it. Because it's longer than it should be
because he has his hand in it.

So I made it as if he didn't have his hand and I think the
proportions appear more realistic.

I guess I always try to envision how it would look in real
life and try to make it that way.

So some poeple won't like it, where others will like the realistic approach.

It's either show accurate or realistic, I guess I chose a little bit of both.

:rotfl

Pretty good. Still need to sew Van Zan's vest shut. :slap

How's it with you?

Pretty good, thanks.

Let me know if you need some help with VZ.

Hey, do you recognize this by the way.

This is the prototype.

Was never 100% satisfied with the original. So I hooked up with
a professional accessory maker who specializes in bows. Jim AKA: Delta275 over on OSW.
He did an incredible job based on the pictures I had.

I have a pieced/parted set.

I can eventually mass produce it when I get a reasonable qoute
from the injection molding companies. Then all the VZ fans can
have an accurate bow.

:yess:

Almost forgot, some people asked about Merle build.
Some of these things are not completely finished yet,
but you'll get the basic idea of the build.

badbrotherfinal16_zpsf809028e.jpg

1) Custom head by E.S. modded by me and painted by Skiman
2) HT TTM-19 with modded neck to fit better to head
3) Magic Cube undershirt.
4) DID Patton shirt with mods
5) Modded & bleach washed Hot Toys Joe Colton pant
6) Newline Minature leather Brit DMS Boots
7) Custom LiL Merle made from HT DX Luke Auto-Tourniquet as base, with added cut aluminum for brackets, real metal bayonet and real leather
straps
8) HT Joe Colton pistol with paint job
9) Custom leather belt and pistol sheath made from old Newline Minature western holster.
10) Custom Metal Police colt .38 special

Hope that helps.

Looks great!! The blood on his t-shirt is fantastic! The blood on the shirt could maybe use a little more of wetness look to get the splatter's edges softer? Or maybe some really tiny splatters may help? (sadly I don't know the right word for it...you know when you take a hard brush and flip the hairs wih your finger to have it splatter around :D )

Awesome Merle! I love how you can't see any joints and the clothes fit so accurate. Everything is in proportion like the real Merle. Gotta be my fav Merle so far. Maybe get him a rifle and gun holster?

I was thinking the same thing with the blood droplets. :)
I did do gloss on some of the existing(but not all) to give it
some contrast. But it's hard to see in the pictures.
