Here's a few pictures of the King of History head in-hand.
This is a translucent cast. Caine did such a great job,
the skin pours and texturing is amazing.

And the opaque castings will look even better if that's even possible...:lol

Here's another commission I had Caine do for me. Another stellar job by him.
I'd say like this he looks 90% done.

I present a sneak peak at : Railroad Boss. Please do not share this picture, thanks.

Once he get's real hair and paint on him, he's going to be one of my favorite western characters.

These are some exciting times with 3 great sculpts from Caine and one figure prototype almost
completely finished. You're going to see some reveals in the next 90 days and I hope you'll be
as excited about them as I am.

:)

Love H.O.Ws and this is a great sculpt.

Me to. HOW's just keeps getting better and better each season.
I always planned to make this figure, it's a shame that after this
season, there will be only one more. Such good writing and
production value, they should have kept this going for another 5+ years. :)

Well, I couldn't help it.

This picture looked so real with the non-direct lighting, I had to post it.

I love this sculpt Caine did for me more and more everyday.
And thanks to Jake for the killer paint app.

The rest of the figures are in the final stages.
You can see more in the King of History thread.

Wanted to do this one for a long time. There have already been
some very good versions of this made and posted on this and other forums.
So here's my take on it. I hope I can do it justice.

1992's Bram Stokers Dracula; Red Armored Vlad.
I've always loved the Vlad the Impaler red armor at the start of this film.
Gary Oldman's performance saved that film from being a total waste of time.
So in honor of one of the best Dracula performances of all time, I've begun my build.

To start off, I gathered the following items.

1) Horizons original 1992 1/6 B.S.D. vinyl armor kit
2) Star Aces 1/6 Sirius Black head
3) Some Brown mo-hair
4) HT slim body
5) HT Tie Fighter under suit
6) HT Kerberos Panzer Jäger armored hand set.
7) Metal Sword from ACI's Knight Templar Crusader Sergeant Brother figure.

The kit from Horizon is very nice. And with some work can be made to fit
a slim 1/6 body.

The Star Ace head is a good likeness, but once I pulled the rubber hair off
it proved to be a much bigger challenge.

The HT Tie fighter under suit has parts on it that were perfect for the joints
that show on the armor(knee & Elbow). It has little rubber parts with
a similar stripe pattern like on the armor.

The sword is pretty close to accurate as well. I'll have to mod it a bit
and make a leather sheath for it.

Enough chatter. Here's the first mock-up with the armor/head, that has
the first paint app attempt.

I'm happy with most of it. The Star Ace Head, when you remove the rubber hair, the
face that is left, does not have the correct hair line for the character. As a matter of fact,
the close up of the face, had to have the hair that way. It follows the edge of the face.
So about half way into it, I new I had to have another head.
So I stopped working on it...:lol

So for now, that head is just a place holder. I was able to commission a new head from a top
tier sculptor. So over the next 3 months it should be very interesting to say the least.

That's it so far.
Let me know what do you think. all comments welcome.

And does anyone else have that awesome Horizon kit?

Looks great Dwight

Thanks.

Had some extra time, so I threw a beard on him and gave the armor a repaint.

Still waiting on the replacement head, but now this one looks a little closer to what it should be.

What do you think.

Can't really do to much more on the StarAce head.
The hair line is still way off. I'm hoping with the new head, that
it turns out, just like this.

At least, that is what I'm trying to recreate.

Finally been able to work on some more figures...lol

And I just started working on the Bohannon build as well.
I know it's the wrong shirt and no vest yet. I also have to dye
the pants and boots dark brown.

But it's a start....:yess:

And 2 more Vlad figures to make. This time with the head I commissioned from Caine.
Also this head is painted/haired by Jacob and is going to be a gift for Caine. Then I'll make one for myself.
