Batman29, you might want to remove your order number from your post. :)

Thanks Darth. I can't believe I left that in. SS will know. What a dippoop thing to do.

well i hope for all that have this on order, your right.

though i'd bet anything that ssc will make sure the first ones sent are in mint condition, that way it may create more hype for this piece and will help sell more of them.

ssc will be inspecting everyone of the early releases to make sure they are good, cause if there is any that ship out with faults, alot of people will be cancelling imo

I think you may be right Quad. They may pay a bit more attention to these first ones going out.

Thanks again for mentioning the order number.

Just ordered mine. :banana

Mine is shipping in 3-5 days. I am really looking forward to this statue, the most I have looked forward to one in quite a while.
If this arrives without flaws to the majority of collectors I think it is going to be the Iron Man collectible to have.
I got a nice flat rate shipping cost of $160 to Australia too. That is cheaper than half of my PF's and Maquettes!
But if it shows up with defects I'm in a world of hurt :sick

Congrats guys!

yeah that's exactly what i thought of when i saw the post.
not that i'm even remotely thinking of getting one, but i know of a few people sitting on the fence for this one.

wanna make a bet the first ones are all in mint condition.:naughty

Yes, I agree. I bet the first ones will be the very best. The later ones coming in March will be less so. The QC on these definitely should not be taken as an indication of the quality of the subsequent ones if these first are really excellent.

Only time will tell.
Still I got my fingers crossed!

This "early" batch.. will be flawless (almost perfect).. it's the next batch that will look like caca and have the paint issues. Sounds like they are going fishing for those on the fence.

This situation makes a case for ordering these type of pieces direct. Even when you pay full retail through SS you have a better chance to get a better product.

LOL nevermind. Pointless on my part.

Congratulations to those getting it in whatever shipment you receive!!!

Congrats Averone!

I am joining you on this! I got the same e-mail today, in fact, I just got this reply back:

Thank you for your confirmation. I have now successfully charged the balance (USD), includes $95.00 flat rate shipping for your order 1:2 Scale Iron Man Mk. 3. Please expect this order to ship within the next 3-5 business days.

Best regards,

Processing Department Manager

Averone, I have to say, I am excited about getting this piece.

$95.00 to here. That's not bad at all.

:horror yeah ssc must be chipping in a bit on the shipping, but of course you're going to get the extra brokerage and duty on this one plus taxes. so i'd say about another $150 on top of the $95.:banghead

of course we all have to pay the taxes either way.:monkey1

Taxes?

Whats that?
:D

I have to say, I got the best of both worlds a state away and no taxes!
;)

How do you think I can afford everything! :naughty

Please note everyone, that this prototype was not 100% clean and perfect like some of you are expecting. I will be very happy with just something like this! Please note that what seems like overspray is turned into real environmental effects and what seems to be a used armor, not a shiny out of factory version. If you are expecting a shiny new armor right from factory you will not like what you get!

If I was uber rich I would have one for display and one to hang my coat on as I come in. Maybe a custom with an outstretched hand. Wanna zap someone... nevermind hold that pose I'll hang my hat on that...

That does look like a bad paintjob.

I can understand if they were going for the weathered look....but thats not what this looks like imo. This just looks like missing paint....I dont know....gatta see it in person. All I can say is if this shows up like the 1:1 bust. I will never buy anything IM related from SS again.

Chris

Weathered my ass.. Looks like a crap paintjob.. And for 2k?.. Please..

Yeah i'm not liking the paint at all & i'd not be happy to receive that for $2k, It's an awesome statue but that "Weathered" look is spoiling it.

Congrats to whoever is getting this. I'm jealous. If only I have the money...
Good luck and hope the paint turn up alright. :)

i will wait for photos and them i will think if i'll buy it!!:banana:banana:banana
