2 many Gr8 Statues!!!
PVC is how I started collecting but now I'm done. Not exclusive enough. I have to say there are some gorgeous! PVC figures out there but now I want all my statues heavier, with serial numbers, and more limited quantities.

I started with Blizzard Entertainment PVC's. I have tons of DC Unlimited PVC WOW figures. Also a bunch of Spawns. They're fabulous but no more of them. I actually first got into statues when I saw the StarCraft Tychus Findlay SideShow. I said to myself, now there is a Blizzard figure I ____ing NEED!

What are your thoughts on PVC vs Polystone/Resin statues?

What do I think? Well I personally don't care about exclusivity. If there's one or one million made, if it looks good I want it.

I've still got the Kotobukiya Darth Maul PVC statue standing next to some resin statues. Can't tell the difference unless you're close up and of course when you pick them up ;-)

I think the price difference is also a factor for some people.

Only PVC's I ever liked were anime, and I stopped buying them when they started having removable clothes and costing over $200.

I know a lot of people don't think Kotobukiya's paint apps are up to scratch, but how are they on the Batman Black/Grey PVC 1/6 Statue?

Who cares if it's super exclusive or not? It's all mass-produced in a Chinese factory in the end. The people who are making it couldn't give less of a **** what they're putting paint apps on or not. They're not artists (regardless of how talented they are), and they don't pretend to be, because in the end, it's a factory job.

My advice: Buy it if you like it, but don't go thinking you are buying a piece of limited art, regardless of the edition number or the material it is made of. The only thing artistic about any of it is the originally handsculpted and painted prototype. The only reason an edition size should ever be an issue is if you are afraid of missing out, or are planning to sell it later on, but what joy can come from that? There's easier things to make investments on. /rant
