Haha on second reflection the use of the video at that particular time might have come across as some sort of ridiculous threat I can assure you that was not my intention

Thanks pal,
I lurk the custom section from time to time, but I'll tell you why I don't hang here, there's a few reasons. One is I find buying custom piece a very frustrating process, first you see an interest thread of something you may want, then wait a couple of months to see if its a go, you got to keep sifting the thread for updates, then if its a go you find that you missed the time for ordering, it was at 3:15 am north korea time and you had only 4 minutes to place your order
Reason two is prices are too high, don't get me wrong I know prices are going to be higher due to the small runs and artists time and all, but pound for pound I rather have a hot toys figure 9 times out of ten. I could spend 800-1000 on one rainman figure of say of taxi driver, or for the same money I could buy hot toys robocop with chair and ed209...... I'm going hot toys
I get the benefit of custom stuff though, its the only place to get quality figures of licenses the big boys won't touch, which is exactly why I had to go for the cowboy.
Reason three is the elitist attitude by some members, there's a ton of cool freaks in the custom section, your one of them, but it seems to get overshadow by a group of complete doushes, folks who pounce on anyone outside there group who disagree with them. Then the whole group of them jump in like a pack of wolfs. There's also the aftermarket flipping that has over inflated prices to ridiculous levels
Don't worry, I'll be around lurking in the shadows
The custom side of the hobby is quite a different animal in many ways, that’s for sure. There are people who recognize, appreciate and are attracted to the aspects that make customs customs, there are others that view the whole thing in the extreme opposite way, and there are folks somewhere in the middle. Maybe one day the two sides of the tracks will learn to understand each other’s beliefs and we'll all get along. Maybe not .
I definitely lean toward the custom side but I dig my licensed stuff just the same. I'd say my collection is pretty 50/50. I play the board flip-flopped to how you do. I spend most of my energy posting in the custom section, and I lurk more and post less in the licensed boards.
There are definitely more politics and different politics associated with the custom world than in the licensed sections. I know there are aspects behind custom collecting that's not for everybody. The pack of wolves usual just get defensive when people who aren't fans of this side of the hobby come and bash it. I think that's to be expected. I hear what you're saying and I can see how things can seem elitist or douchey to the Freaks who don't frequent the section, but I can assure you it's not really like that and may appear a lot worse than it really is.
Hopefully Iminime could come up with another offering that pulls you back over here. Maybe they'll do Reese and we can make Ecko a believer. At least temporarily
Catch ya in the shadows my brother
Almost a disaster for me today, I had my DX fig on my desk, I go out the room and my cat comes in, and in the process of jumping onto my window seal she jumps on to the desk and knocks the fig on the floor
Thankfully he must of landed on his body and not his face, I have had figures before that have nose dived quite literally and messed up the sculpt, The one fig I cant afford that to happen to is this one. I was lucky though, a once over of the sculpt and it seems fine.
The fig now back safe in the detolf.

I wish I could make the same assurances, but from my point of view the douchiness, narrow self-centeredness, and entitlementitis are off the charts here. In fact, I think all the garbage in this section has slowly be turning me off from the hobby in general. So many that post seem just full of ****, and it gets tedious trying to wade through it.I hear what you're saying and I can see how things can seem elitist or douchey to the Freaks who don't frequent the section, but I can assure you it's not really like that and may appear a lot worse than it really is.

Well, a sexy lady might work.Kara what's going to turn you back on? Lol
Yikes. I had my HT Big Chap Alien take a shelf dive once, and was very pleasantly surprised that he wasn't dinged up. Same with my Mark VII Iron Man, when my daughter knocked into the shelf and he fell from about 7 feet high. But again, no real damage. Of course, those aren't really comparable experiences to the DX Cowboy. Keep him safe and inside that detolf!

If my MK VII dropped from 7' I don't think I'd stay conscious long enough to see it hit the floor:
