That's how Aragorn will look in most people's cellphone pics when they receive him. :lol

The "its better in hand" chant will reign.

I was thinking the same thing. We’ll be lucky if Aragorn turns out that good. :lol

I have no problem with customers pointing out the cellular structure inaccuracies on 12” collectibles due to the costs involved but for me i’ve been collecting the same thing since i was a child, action figures and vehicles, and boy have the head sculpts improved tremendously no scratch that everything has improved tremendously!

So while I appreciate being shown that the structure on the hard plastic is 000.5% off from the actual human who has living breathing moving skin that sweats and bounces off or absorbs light every millisecond i’m also reminded how good I have it when compared to the past…

Botmon vs Supermon: Don of Justice.
Makes sense they keep spelling things with Os. Their weird habits of teasing bad photos and bad lightning keeps making everyone wish for something more.

They got desire for hype confused with desire for hope

Decent starting point for that Cavill, I would say a sharper face, slightly more furrowed brow, and maybe some forehead lines would help tons.

I will be holding out any further judgment until this thing goes on preorder. Lets not forget what Aragorn looked like just a couple months before he was officially solicited:

What a huge difference!!! Definitely makes me feel better about possible adjustments to this Superman figure, even though I think it looks pretty good overall. Personally I’m more concerned about the small “S” and if the costume will have the appropriate “shine” than about the headsculpt.
But yeah the improvements to this Aragorn from how he looked in the picture above to how he looks now is amazing.

Yep. Mostly agreed on likeness accuracy. I think it’s all in the eyes and brow that need tweaked. It’s obvious at this point that releasing early proto photos is a part of their process. What better way to test likeness accuracy than to show it to a bunch of obsessive/detail-oriented nerds? There is none. so I’ll shall wait and enjoy the ride. I really can’t wait to see what they do about the suit. HT has yet to come up with anything remotely non toy-like in that regard imo.

Forehead tweaks, work on the eyes abit more and I think we have a winner.
Pretty much this. Adjust the forehead a bit + the eye area and they have a banger of a sculpt.

Post your constructive criticism on their social media pages. If Aragorn, Gandalf and Batman is anything to go, they're very open to hearing feedback and adjusting even after preorders go live.

This was never a Superman I liked or cared for but even with its inaccuracies, it looks better than anything HT has done. Not sure if worth 1K for the inevitable "all in" edition, but I'm sure if this was Reeve, I will pay it with zero hesitation.

Or if one wants to go back far enough, this was the one sixth scale of my childhood. We have definitely come a long way! 🤣

Just a side note to this, it’d be cool to see what a super talented professional painter today could do with the old Aurora model kit.

Edit: Oops, the Superman model was 1/8. Close enough!
