I received shipping information well over a week ago, but it just shows “shipping information received” and nothing else. Getting nervous about this thing.

My figure has arrived in the US, cleared customs, and supposedly was handed over to USPS a week ago by 4PX. But the postal system still hasn’t even scanned it in. Anyone else going through similar in the US waiting for theirs from Kit?

With the holidays I shouldn’t be surprised. But all these pics lately have me chomping at the bit, lol.

My Bats from Kit did the same thing. It left Chicago and then zero updates.

Until it updated four or five days later to "Out for Delivery" status. It's the holidays, and I think they are not scanning stuff as it goes.

post office is just slow right now. Not exactly the same, but I mailed a package to my brother last Monday, it didn't actually start moving until Friday even though that was supposed to be the delivery date. Now, it won't actually be delivered until sometime this week.

Yes, I just need to trust that the Post office will get to it eventually. It's always a nervous feeling with them. But it really is completely out of my hands. Nothing more pointless than call the post office in December (or any month really).

I just had something that I ordered on Ebay get lost through USPS. Definitely a terrible time to be having stuff shipped unfornately. Hoping you guys all get him in safe and sound.

Slapped por.toys hands on him and also got Obi-Wan's floating rock base in from TA. I'm loving this combo. The hands elevates the figure from stock and the base works really well with this figure. You can even attach the flight post attachment onto the clear pole included with the base.

Hard to beat this!

I always reference the film for color. It seems obvious. The prop serves the final picture, not the other way around. The film is the only realm where the character exists. At least that's my understanding of cinema. That's the reason I collect. I can use BTS as a guide, but I don't take it at face value. If the color grading is too heavy and tingeing the image, then I'll make an estimation. Hence, there's a margin of acceptable variance, but it's very confined.

We won't agree on a definitive Ledger. But we can lock our sights on the closest approximation. Many have a tendency to lean on one extreme (Inart's blue shirt for example, which is flat out wrong). That's why many of them fail.

Awesome that you're digging it man, but honestly, I think the hands are way too much. They don't look like they fit the person IMHO.

I also use the film as the prime reference, but over the years of collecting, I’ve realized that most of the time, these companies base their figures on the promo material/BTS.

To me, it’s disappointing since what’s intended is what we see in post, but I think these companies find it easier to reference clear cut promo or BTS images instead.

I hope y’all don’t think I actually prefer them referencing those types of images over what we see on the screen lol

for everyone who’s head over heels about accuracy, you’d think you’d prefer that WB pull a costume they own out of their warehouse for direct reference instead of doing what fans have to and study film.

Solely relying on screen grabs isn’t professional when you’re the people who were responsible for the very production of the film and have the props on site.

It just wouldn’t make sense for WB to tell companies they have to make every Ledger have a blue blazer when they have clear and easy access to the multiple very grey blazers in storage on their lot.

Exactly^. This is what I’ve come to the conclusion to.

Ideally, I wish there was a consultant rep for these studios who care about the details and aiding these collectible companies as much as possible, but in the end, it doesn’t play out that way. Of course, as fans, we’ll want our replica collectible to perfectly match what we also see on the screen, but it’s not realistic. Imo.

I think studios offer guidance to a degree,
but ultimately let the companies come up with something and then simply decide if it meets the licensing agreements.

There is certainly however, a specific ballpark color code requirement on Ledger it would seem, but it’s because they use real life prop reference when able.

If WB truly were in charge of what these companies produce and were on top of it, they’d all get the details correct or they wouldn’t pass. They just are more lenient as to what passes than they admittedly should be. WB has detail freaks like us on staff, believe me.

I hope so too! I've never had problems with Kit, but the USPS on the other hand

To each their own of course! Definitely something most won't be used to when what we usually get is super soft generic hands from companies.

I think they nailed it in terms of how accurate and detailed they are to his actual hands.
